Honor Magic7 Pro unveiled with a 200MP tele camera, vanilla Magic7 powered by the SD 8 Elite

30 October 2024
Both are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, actually. Both have LTPO displays and both are rated IP69. But only the Pro has that awesome 200MP tele camera.

            >Be Honor
            >Crop the sensor for the Magic6 Pro so it's 180 MP "only" instead of the full 200 MP, and then make it a 2.5x sensor
            >later use the whole sensor and bump it up to 3x
            >INNOVATION

Seriously, it seems like a completely planned move and goes to show that the magic6 pro was actually crippled. Its tele shots looked mid to me in general considering the huge sensor. Hopefully this year they have something to show for it.

The Magic7 Pro's battery doesn't seem that interesting of a jump but to be fair the Magic6 Pro was excellent.

Gotta give props to Honor for not crippling the phones this year, that's good but damn the price isn't anything to scoff at. Since this phone isn't advertising a tandem display, ig the Ultimate will.

Impressive. I must say that with the sheer amount of flagships that are coming out lately, the competition in the smartphone industry has never been so heated. We've literally had the vivo X200 series, Oppo Find X8 series, Xiaomi's 15 series, the iQOO 13, Honor's Magic 7 lineup all launched in the same month. Not to forget about the Sharp Aquos R9 Pro either. And the OnePlus 13 is also coming tomorrow 💀

definitely ek 2025 will be from chinese manufacturers

I like the pure White version, but I can guarantee you now it won't see a global release.

Amazing phone. A phone I'd gladly buy if I were to replace my phone.
Looking forward to some comparisons with the s24u and 16 pro max.

New trend of ip68 and ip69 duality

And prices in EU will be 1000+ EUR :(

The Honor magic 7 is surprisingly good in terms of hardware. I think it's the best standard model launched so far. Similar rear camera setup to Xiaomi 15. 50mp front camera. LTPO display, 100w wired and 80w wireless charging is top notch. Satellite communications. Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Less than 8mm thick and under 200g with a 5,650mAh battery. Independent signal enhancement chip. IP68 and IP69. Very little price increase also. Really strong for a standard model

Why bother digitally cropping a 2.5x tele lens to 100X???? Cap it at 25x and make it actually usable!
