M4 SOC is 6 times faster than the corresponding X86 but to pay a lot for a 8TB SSD not smart consider a Linux network solution

Their laptops are good because of it's efficienct architecture

But I don't see why anyone would buy a M4 Pro/Max PC. Intel/AMD CPUs + Nvidia/AMD GPUs absolutely blows apple out of the water.

With Apple you get both battery time and processing power, at reasonable weight. That comes for a price, of course.
With a Windows laptop you get either performance or battery life. Not both, regardless of the price.

            Just my 2c.

Just ridiculous to compare M4 with M1. This is advertisement tactics. It should be compare to the previous version that is M3. Why are we comparing to the one which is 3 generation old.

Come on guys, the laptops aren't bad, in fact for workplace are pretty good, the only issue apple has is that insanity of price for a sub-tier computer CPU ( ARM ), despite that the performance per watt is pretty good.

But if i have to pay 4000€ to have 16gb macbook pro with M4 Pro in 2024 i'm better with a full fledged computer with a 4090 TI, 64gb of ram, and tons of storage and features for roughly 1k less.
