Additionally, this is apple you dummy, they're obviously going to nerf everything they can. My relative's iPhone 13 had half its battery life after a year. If the latest iPhone (at the time) got this treatment, why wouldn't they nuke the iPhone SE?

Let's see how they would do with 4000mAh like phones from 3-4 years ago.

Before you again believe what chip maker says, remember iphone SE3 does not do better than iphone 6. Same poor endurance when at that point should be 2x.

Also another thing I won't be paying full price as it will be sold in own country I'll be importing it and flashing oxygen rom

Furkan, 01 Nov 2024You know Xiaomi sold more phones than Oneplus lolI couldn't care any less I buy what I think offers me more for my money and at this moment OnePlus 13 does that over Xiaomi 15 pro

Kangal, 01 Nov 2024Because they have a different philosophy. Or business model... morethey don't have a different business model, after the Oneplus 3 it was clear that they were just another brand from Oppo. You may dream all you want but snap back to reality and accept that these are all brands trying to maximize profits. The only ones who are going to do niche stuff like that are gonna be small brands but look at Nothing, are they doing anything exceptional? If even Nothing ain't doing stuff like that, why blame Oneplus?

Just compare the handheld scene between Anbernic vs Retroid. One of them crafts a great product, polishes it, and supports it for a decent while, and only upgrades or releases new models every year or so. The other is pumping "new" models every month.

As the end user, you can decide which is better. I know my preference already.

Best phones in Android Upgrade History:
                  (money no object)

Google G1, Motorola Cliq, Motorola Milestone, Motorola Milestone 2, Motorola Milestone 3, Samsung Galaxy NOTE, Samsung Note 2, Samsung Note 3, Samsung Note 4, Samsung S6 Active, ZTE Axon 7, Samsung S7 Active, Samsung S8 Active, Google Pixel 2XL, Samsung Note 9, Samsung S10+, Sony Xperia 5 mk II, ASUS ZenFone 9, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Samsung S24+.....

There were many close calls, and a lot of other OEM phones almost made the list. But since this is a money-no-object list, the more expensive Samsung units edged them out. And while storage is usually a factor (no microSD Card beyond S20), because of the "unlimited budget" we could bypass that by going with the higher (1TB) storage options. This list was optimised for overall experience. So basically a balance between performance, battery life, screen, camera, features, durability, and software. Before we had large phones, those that had keyboards had a distinct advantage for the user experience. And currently we are looking at devices that are not too big, as modern devices are rather large, heavy, slippery, fragile, and difficult to repair.

OnePlus development has stalled, there is like no community efforts:

...in general, we don't have much customising on Android Phones as we used to. And the best (or only) place for that is on Google Pixel. I say this as someone that dislikes those devices. Samsung devices have gotten so expensive and locked down, development there is nowhere as rich as it used to be. And we've lost many OEMs along the way.

No matter how great and advanced the hardware of this phone is. . .after 1 year they're going to slow it down or make it unstable with software update to make way for OnePlus 14 😓

6000mAh ? some of the brand had high capacity battery eg vivo x200 pro but battery life in certain aspects is worse than S24 ultra with only 5000mAh. don't see big difference of battery although vivo had over a 1000mAh more capacity which should have at least a sizeable difference in battery life but surprisingly the vivo had only 1 hour of difference, so it bag the question does having a big battery makes any difference?
