Sorry but pixel is much more expensive than s24 for a version with 256 GB. I belive 128 GB will be too small to consider it in 2025. I put my money on S24 becouse it feels you get more phone in smaller case for a better price.
Google increased the MSRP of Pixel too much for an AI marketing bulshit, eventually a correct battery run time and great pictures but with shaking video.

    I had a pixel 9 a few weeks ago... I liked it.but the trouble was it would Bluetooth to my van which know got to me. Even got an 02 member of staff to look at it in my van and they couldn't get to work.my van could see the phone but not the pixel.even plugged it to the USB in van still no good.
    It connects to my car not a problem and my sons speaks.
    So changed it for an s24 and connected to my van straight away...

      If all you care about is Performance S24 is better Option Pixel 9 Performance is on par with s24FE version. I all you care about is a clean load with very little Bloatware and Best Android Camera Phone Pixel 9 is better. Either one is great option.

        Also i dont much care for the OS updates. I just see news time to time where early release updates have bricked phones from brands like Apple, Google and Samsung.

        Also i dont care about the cameras on the phone. The clicks i do with my phone is like 2-3 pictures a month. For that i dont need to have a flagship camera. Even budget class makes pictures good enough to understand what is on the picture and recognize people faces.

        the difference is more in the filters with Pixel and S24 as Samsung makes picture over contrasted bright like from neon show. Never mind that when picture making is one of your goals then get a real camera. It's the most brain dead argument to talk about phone digital soap cameras what is better. No professional photographer use phones to make pictures and brag about their quality. Smartphone cameras are for making pictures for your social media flex and never mind that social media sites downgrade the picture to be in small file size.

        How much of the pictures and videos you take save for memories for the future family album ? Most fill their phone storage and then complain they have no space even tough majority of taken pictures are total garbage waste of space.

        In anywhere like be a youtuber or what ever is never recommended to use your phone as the camera. All who take it seriously invest on their cameras and microphones and so on.

        It makes no sense what so ever to spend on a phone more then 500 euro. Well i got my F5 for 410 euro and it's the most expensive phone i have ever bought. My limit use to be at most top end as 300 euro. It just makes no sense for a phone you use for 2-3 years and then change to new phone. Even tough my last phone work for me 5 years and would still work but i wanted a new phone and F5 had the 3.5mm jack as otherwise i would of gone with X5 Pro as i wanted to have a phone that is fast on doing thing i do with it. My last phone was budget middle class for 170 euro SD636 and 3GB ram that was slow from the beginning.

        800 euro is the price where i would get a laptop that last me 10 plus years or a desktop without a graphics card

        Even tough i was looking pixel 6a to get if F5 didnt have 3.5mm jack and be ripped off with lame hardware for high price just for more smaller in size phone and i saw a case that flatten the rear too that massive ugly camera island. With F5 i also got a case that mostly flattens the camera bumps.

          Galaxy A15: 8mm more than Pixel
          Galaxy A25: 9mm more
          V50s: 13mm more
          C67: also 13mm
          Note 50: 15mm
          Note 50 (Cubot): 13mm
          Note 21: 13mm
          Note 40: 13mm

          Average Realme: 10 - 13mm

          Cubot Kingkong series: 18 - 23mm (10200mAh had that wrong in my comment)

          Blackview BV and BL: 22 - 27mm (8000 - 13000mAh had that wrong too)

          Though I could find some devices with matched body sizes (but a smaller difference obviously), such as:

          Sony Xperia 10 V (5000mAh 3mm over)
          Sony Xperia 5 V (5000mAh 2mm over)

          I see your point in battery to body ratio being an important variable in good batteries, and I will remember this before comparing smaller phones to bigger batteries.

              I have used both samsung and pixel and I can assure you pixel is much more smoother. Getting update first doesn't mean to get bugs as you say as per my experience. And camera of pixel leaves samsung with no game. Just try it do not make assumptions.
              For sure samsung is overrated and pixel is underated

                Just me, 02 Dec 2024Quick reminder, the 5.8 inch Galaxy S8 from the "good ... moreLonger, yes, but a bit narrower (which I think is what a lot of people complain about with the size of today's phones). Although the extra width on the S24 does mean you get flat sides.

                Firmly in the same territory though. If the S8 had the same aspect ratio as the S24 it'd sneak the other side of the 6" mark too.

                Anyway; as it turned out, in this sales season and in this (UK) market the Pixel 9 - at least in 128GB guide - actually undercut the S24. My partner's getting a Pixel 9; I'm getting an S24 FE, which as the UK is an Exynos market is basically getting an S24 but in Plus size and with a few small tradeoffs. I'll report back with our initial experiences and see which of us, if either, wish we'd gone another way 😂

                        Pixel 9 Antutu v10 is around 1 million while S24 is around 1.7 million points. You can look other benchmarks on your own

                          Xiaomi 15 is already 5mm taller to have 5400mAh battery while Pixel 9 with 4700mAh we can compare it with Xiaomi 15 only as it's also 5mm taller then S24

                          It makes no sense to count out the phone body size when we talk about the battery size as the largest thing in the phone and the larger the capacity of the battery the larger the battery is physically and also heavier

The Pixel 9 receives 7 years of updates and runs Andro... moreIt's not actually better to get OS updates faster from the release date when they are still full of bugs and use the user base to test them out so a lot higher chance to brick your phone or mess something up with these fast updates. And google also have too much DEI work force that can cause problems cause they were not hired for their talents.

                            And for the point of talking that Pixel 9 was released with newer OS number is cause the release date of the phone and it makes no sense to talk about phones that got released with older OS number that were the latest on the release time

                            Can have better cameras but for majority of users the difference is only on the paper and not in real life where the quality difference is not something people can even see or make difference as they are not professional photographers and professional photographers laugh on phone cameras as these are digital soap cameras that they dont waste their time to even criticize them

                              All other flagships are a lot bigger to fit larger batteries. You brain just dont work to understand the physical size difference and you think that the battery in a phone is in a subspace of fantasy manga
