It's what Xiaomi did to the likes of X5 Pro. They specifically said Android OS updates, not years. But their users are angry their updates stop this year despite only releasing last year. Except they already got two updates so their launch A12 stops at A14.

                        Well I bet this is going to be great for the OEM ecosystem that already struggled to update on time. Unless something major got done to facilitate updates for everybody, this is going to backfire hard.
