Personal Opinion, 7 hours agoI believe anything above 144Hz is pointless on phone... everything above 120hz is useless on smartphone

In terms of AI feature , auto gameplay could be good but is a grey sport of debate.
Let's say this phones Game ai plays the game for you , specially idle games or maybe even coc.
That would consider using bot in game but that's the only group breaking reason to buy this. Most gaming phones have already gotten good to run games except simulation.
I still love it tho , Keep breaking spec records ! I don't even game on phone but I love gaming phones. Collecting hobby is quite a taxing hobby

Nj, 8 hours agoNothing is record breaking because Sharp has 240hrz display... moreSharps' displays are 240Hz because they insert a black frame after every image, so it actually looks like a 120Hz display with clearer motion. I tried the Aquos R9 once, I was unable to set the display to actually display 240Hz, and enabling the on-screen fps counter showed 120Hz the entire time.

Alexander M, 9 hours agoBear in mind that the slight refresh rate increase appears ... moreThere are other improvements too. They increased the Battery size to 5800mah and improved the main camera sensor (now uses Sony LYT 700 instead of IMX 890). And yeah, 5800mah still does not sound that impressive as now other normal flaships have launched with 6000+mah, but you need to keep in mind that Asus' internal structure has the motherboard placed in the center and also uses a very big top speaker compared to other flagships, so there is not as much room inside.

Didn't Sharp release 2 phones with 240hz displays like 3-4 years ago? Also what are we gonna do with the 185hz if we can't use it in every app lol

justasmile, 11 hours agoDo they not know the Sharp Aquos Zero 2 exists?I have an Aquos R6 and it uses BFI to achieve "240hz". It's actually a 120hz panel

GSM arena shared before a couple of days that the new lava (R9 pro, if) will have 240 hZ screen.
Now whatever refresh it is, it's just locked to the home screen, nice. I'm buying 185 hZ to use the home screen for 5hrs

I prefer phones that gives you the options to chose your refresh rates, some are set to 'high' and 'standard' only, not intuitive.

The ROG series lost it's charm since the 8, which for me was like a big downgrade in various ways

comment. But there’s one with 120 Hz (no idea why 120 would be bad especially considering every non gaming phone is the same) so all is well

How many people can tell the difference between 120Hz and 185Hz on a small smartphone screen?
