I wished gsmarena put iphone16pro to this comparison, too. looking at the results side by side, 2025 might be the first time android flagships outperform latest iphone pros in raw cpu and gpu performance.

Mtk is doing excellent. QC is great. Apple is ahead ( they put more $$$ certainly ) Samsung is... Trying, and trying again. AMD, Intel, they are lost in tsmc's buildings.
And in a year or too than could be completely different.

It'd be like put everything in a formula and get a magic number. I don't buy that, there are too much variables.

To me SD is not as ahead as it was. This elite first review looks not very good.
Apple still ahead because, may put more $$$ for exclusive use of new process first ( I think so....) And certainly crazy optims ( I don't like apple but they good at optim ). Bugsynos promise, always promise. Hopefully they will deliver enough but until today they didn't. So I see only mtk as interesting. When I see so many g99 performing not that bad for so cheap, I think we'll win as users in that competition. Then for drivers, I don't know why it seems the Taiwanese companies are not good, Nvidia, Amd, mtk, it's not new problem. Others ( Intel, QC) don't disclose much their source either, but they often 'give' a good version of their firmware, offer support...

Please GSMARENA, start using Burnout Benchmark in your testing. It is so good at singling out bad processors like the S888, that benchmark well in Geekbench and Antutu, and then Amber Heard the bed in real world intensive tasks.

Typically QC chips benchmark highly but have thermal throttling across everyday use cases..... MTK benchmark lower but have typically better efficiency and lower thermals. Honestly Ive been rooting for Mediatek for a long time, but MTK needs to do something about making their software public if they ever wanna take off seriously....

Android Authority and Digital Trends both observed that the Realme GT 7 Pro struggled to finish initial GPU stress tests. In tests such as 3DMark’s Wild Life and Solar Bay, the device displayed warnings for high temperatures, ultimately shutting down or limiting functionality to avoid damage. Temperatures reportedly peaked at 46°C during these tests, well beyond the safe operating range for most smartphones."

" Interestingly, when the benchmark app was disguised to avoid Realme’s potential performance optimizations, the device completed the tests successfully. This indicates that the GT 7 Pro may have specific “benchmark-enhancing” settings that push performance at the cost of heat control, a practice Realme acknowledged as “targeted optimizations.” Realme says these settings prioritize performance during benchmark detection, potentially explaining the extreme temperatures and subsequent shutdowns."

Because of this, I would expect that the power consumption to be better on Snapdragon. Plus Qualcomm's modems were always known to be more efficient than Mediatek's ones.
I would wait for proper numbers from a good implementation of both chipsets to compare. For example Oneplus 13 and Oppo Find X8 pro.

GPU peak performance of GT7 Pro needs little improvements, but negligible in favor of power efficiency.

So the vivo X100 pro won the GPU performance, but again not comparable as the max RAM clock speed of the D9400.

Unless the iQOO 13 or OnePlus 13 beat this.

Maybe i'm wrong but usually the mediatek targets a bit less premium market: such a great contender considering the results.
If the results stay the same it'll be a no brainer !
