The wheal does not need to be reinvented, but some still expect it to, apparantly. X64 or 86 processors are as modern as it gets, and they deliver power where ARM will probably never do, holding gaming rigs or server appliancies up, is not something an arm will do in the next years to come, and the architecture will most probably not be replaced. People want repairable, modular, replaceable, not on board soldered crap. ARM might have come a long way, but it still has to work to equal an x86 architecture, as under heavy load it falls appart and throttles to oblivion. And please do not come with apple m ewasteware, the only heavy load those cpu's do is loading the OS and even there they get hot. Yeah, arm can get very hot too, if you do not know that, well, you never used a smartphone. Anyway, when it gets to solve all this issue and it does not need soldering, both architectures can further coexist like they coexist now, each with it's purpose, i see no reason why not. Intel and amd might need to scale down or find a more efficient way to use their own architecture, but well, that's the beauty of innovation.

Indie games are usually unusual genres made by very small teams or even by a single developer. Baldur's Gate is none of that.
