(On closer inspection, HTC's made some in the last couple of years, albeit with relatively obscure CPUs, and half with no headphone jack. As for Google, get back to me when they make their second tablet this decade.)

Smallworld, 02 Nov 2024Who tf is still buying tablets? This ain't 2012 anymor... moreTablets arent like 2012. tbh Note 10.1 (2012) age well into 2019. It was still useful for youtube unlike 1st gen Ipad. Problably why Ipad is selling more because everyone is like replacing them every 2 years.
They are much more useful after Snapdragon 870. In fact the browsing feels like a desktop using Brave browser. SD 870 feels like an Intel i7 4790k but under 18 watts or 6 watts directly drawing from charger.
Of course it doesnt play PC games but the issue is PC gamers are still small minority outside of the US.
What really died is the netbook market. So real replacement is get a 11 or 8 inch tablet with 65% keyboard and mouse. Its better than carrying a 13/15 inch laptop.
And better you can carry just tablet alone if you dont need mouse and keyboard.

Of course Apple lost marketshare, but it haven't affected iPad sales. Apple still sell lot of iPads q after q and dominating the tablet market.

Ad... moremany projectors are smart nowadays and cheaper, $30 projector can do what you want, i dont think there is enough market for tablet with projector, Zte tried it during sd 800 era toucht+projector+router but it flopped.
