Sorry but you ... moreI don't respond to them with racism. But I counter them with the fact that they are prejudiced and sell false claims for truths.
And of course I know about white balance. They act as if they are smarter than everyone else and react in an irritated manner and with upper-class definitions that everyone knows anyway.
Nobody likes head teachers like them.
Also, light skin types have the problem that some camera systems don't reproduce this tone anywhere near correctly.

Why not a campaign to allow Gcam in your phones?😒 I bought a Camon 30 Pro recently. The camera sensor is indeed large in its class but only held back with its inferior/basic camera app.

Btw I'm talking about "light tones" not "bright colors" there's a difference between that as a color can be light and dimm at the same time.

The overall image is pretty dark tbh but the skin tones aren't really bad at all, just inaccurate in terms of color temperature/white balance/exposure, but not the brightened kind of inaccurate.
I've tried a Pixel 7 too, it's pretty ok as well. Samsung brightens EVERYTHING up.

iPhones generally make the photos too cool which looks favorable on light skin but negatively affects dark skin tones by making them looked washed out. Like Apple is doing everyone a favor by making our skin "correct" aka lighter. Sorry if I missed that Apple changed their picture engine but iPhone 15 Pro reviews still mention it (at least the unbiased ones). You are probably comparing to Chinese phones and yes Apple isn't as bad as those for dark skin but their picture engines are optimized for Chinese skin and add pink/violett tones to make Chinese skin look as white as possible which main their customers like. Same with Apple that's mainly bought by Americans & Europeans.

To be fair this is concerning privacy wise... Especially that website. Also in my opinion this is purely performative, Google, Vivo and (Xiaomi - with their Leica collaboration though) already mastered skin tones imo. There's a reason why people with Chinese phones sometimes use Google camera because the skin tones are just better on it.

Only issue is inconsistency, you can't predict when it gets slow or network issues etc.(I don't know if it's because I block all permissions and always on VPN ) in terms of photography sometimes world class shots sometimes blurred shots and shaky videos 😅

Meanwhile Vivo: we intentionally programmed our firmware differently for our phones in Europe and Asia. European models get more neutral colors and skin tones, while Asian models will give you the whitest porcelain look you have always wanted.

Sorry but you must be of faur skin and have NO idea the variances in skin tone many dark or semi light skin mixed people have that heavily afrects their photos even in bright outside sunlight.
When you hear/read someone isnt very photogenic ... what do you actually think that means?!
Photos and photography has ALWAYS BEEN BASED on those with fair skin or shall i dare say people of white skin. If you even for once doubt me or come at me with any racism THINK AGAIN:
Every camera or camera system specifically has a setting or rating or soec called "White-Balance"! Dont think its a technical term becaue its based on specifics in its history and leads to very VERY poor pictures of people. Moreover the last 100yrs law enforcement has used this poor lack of the same understanding youve presented to implement mistaken identities from a oicture with poor quality n resolution to start or originally pictures printed in black & white!
Anyone that stidied photography or used pro settinga in a digital photo or experience in professional photography can give you a LOT of situations regarding darker skin tonnes and challenges of such subjects or people.

People are completely missing the point here
Let me remind you all we are in the DATA/INFORMATION AGE
Ignore politics, don't call it stupid there is only one answer
DATA MAPPING it's just another means to track and compile data more precisely to then be sold for profit later it's simple as that
Can you imagine skin care targeted ads if there are better skin tone mapping?
