Pc doesn't pay subscription, we can have pirated games, all components have 5+ different brands with different prices, most of the time your pc will work for all games ( performance it's up to you) my sister still uses a GeForce 1060.
That about prices, but you also have : gameplay is better on pc, fps games are pain with joystick, chatting, games with more than 20 keys, menu navigation, modding games, playing 30 year's old games and if you go further ... cheating haha.
Consoles are for casual gamers and four travels

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2024These anti console people are clueless outside their first ... moreI rather pay more money to get a fast PC in parts I've selected, with a high refresh OLED monitor, than a console with an OLED TV. Or connect it to my OLED TV via HDMI 2.1 and get a nice couch gaming session going with a controller. And that's what I've done, though.
In my opinion; consoles and their usual 30-60 FPS lock is not appealing. Plus, a PC isn't only for gaming, it's a very versatile platform. Yes, you might end up paying more money (in many cases), but also can do more and often with a much better end result. Some games do have optimization issues, but that's what happens when there are endless hardware and combinations around.

Where's the PSN restriction? Did the Article Creator forgot that only 70 out of 193 countries can create and use PSN without getting banned because you're using a console on a RESTRICTED country?

b) Middle settings on PC are Ultra settings on PS5, so you still get a better performance and visuals.
c) single component upgrades.
d) cheaper games due to competition with shops

Thats why we need competition. Even though i dont like the xbox, we need it to keep the prices in check. Just check how qualcomm is going greedy after the failure of exynos, texas instruments, tegra, kirin and broadcom.

Some games take advantage of features exclusive to consoles. Devs also don't need to consider thousands of pc rigs when making games.
Lol. Doubt players would care. Much easier to just buy a console AND resell years later. Vs Exerting effort assembling pc, canvassing for prices ( non US prices >>>> developong countries) and troubleshooting when errors come up.

Then an Xbox series S is half the price of the likes of RX6600. What kind of genius can build an equivalent machine at the same price?

Plus it mostly isn't peoples main console apart from very niche group! almost everyone else has or would get a PS5/pro and maybe a switch along side it.

PS tend to be obsolete in few years while on PC you may upgrade the component one by one on coming years. I.e. my PSU is corsair HX850 from 2010 and still running well Today.

What ancient SoC? This SoC is new, you can criticize the use of Zen 2 cores at best.
The rea; problem is the price.
Selling this for 799€ including VAT is a lot, I tried to build a similar config 3700x+16GBDDR5+7700XT12GB+2TBSSD and It cost only 868€, but I chose the cheapest or cheaper components and It was without mouse, keyboard and operating system.
So I can't say this PS is a good buy, and It is even missing the blue-ray drive.

As I'd always take, vanilla PS is enough, Pro version will have no improvements in term of games variant. Better to get the next generation rather than the Pro one. Another thing, I have PS5 and PC, recently I played more with my PC and do thinking that is PC much more worth it despite the higher price.

Honestly, as long I can get any version of PlayStation 5 at a lower price later to play Need for Speed: Unbound (2022) and able to connect with my Xperia for Remote Play, just like I did for PS4, that's all that matters, at least for me.

I bought a PS4 at launch for €400, paid €50 for online, waited a year for the promised free games with PS+, had enough and built a PC instead. Never regretted it. Games are a lot cheaper, and you can do other things with it too.
Now you pay what, €800-1000 for a console with an ancient SoC? It's getting ridiculous.
