      This limited edition anniversary PS5 Pro, when it arrives here in Brazil, where taxes are very high and complex, will probably cost approximately the equivalent of $2000. I wouldn't be surprised if it is even more than that.

        No disc drive, how incredibly stupid

          The problem here is the price of the base PS5 has not gone down but instead gone up! That's never happened before as far as I can recollect. Remember the CPU equivalent on PC is a Ryzen 3700x which is 4 year old silicon.

          The base model should now be at around £300 and the pro should have cost around £450 - £550.

          I remember getting a PS4 slim with 3 games back in 2015 for £250!

          There's some good tech here but if you've already got a PC or even a base PS5 I just don't think it's worth buying. In the UK its £100 for a disc drive and £30 for the stand so if you want to get the full PS5 pro experience it's going to set you back £830.

          The best option is just wait till GTA6 releases and get a refurbed/2nd hand base ps5 unit.

                          Definitely worth a skip.

                          If you're coming from an XSS, then yeah, maybe the upgrade can be justified. But I don't think that is a common occurrence. This product is for people who are wealthy.

                          I think I will stick with my Base PS5 Disc. There's no exclusives or must-have titles on the platform, let alone a "Pro Exclusive". Perhaps GTA 6 might change my mind.
