jiyen235, 16 Nov 2024you're the one making the claims and if you don't... moreLOL. Afraid to know the truth? Here's an example: August 2012, Apple was awarded 1.049B USD in damages and rejected Samsung's counterclaim. We can talk about other legal issues like patent, price-fixing scheme, and other lawsuits. Oh, have you heard the empire of shame? I bet you don't, 'coz you're a samsung fan boy. Who's lazy again? LOL
Let me say it again. Do your research -- because you're wrong. LOL

With smartphone sensors getting bigger, having variable aperture makes a lot of sense. A bigger sensor means a shallower depth of field.

jiyen235, 11 Nov 2024because the smart things ecosystem is good but not as good ... moreThe guy who's designed them is actually Hubert Lee, who had done the W218 CLS under Wagener's leadership, and recently moved from Mercedes to Samsung's mobile division

MihaiRo, 10 Nov 2024I already have this "Apple new feature" on my Hon... moreHonor's variable aperture is pathetic, the Mate 50 Pro did a better job 2 years ago and even the Xperia Pro-I has a wider range, it was released 3 years ago. Better to have something rather than nothing i know but don't act smug over a cringe implementation lmao

Batteri Voltas, 10 Nov 2024their whole smartthings ecosystem is also slept on. People ... morebecause the smart things ecosystem is good but not as good as Apple's. Apple has worked on making a tight knit ecosystem for decades and it's paying off, Samsung has only recently started being greedy and evil and thus aren't as good, yet.
Sensors aren't the main issue, the X200 Pro with the same sized main sensor takes better pics due to far superior image processing. Samsung has lost its processing charm that it had back in the Note20 Ultra days. They take horrible, bland photos now (for a flagship).
The guy who designed em is Gorden Wagener? seriously? The guy who made the design for the exceptionally cool looking AMG One and contributed to the masterpiece that is the SLR McLaren just copied Apple? LMAO it seems when you're at Samsung, greediness and laziness follows.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2024Samsung LCD TVs are good at best. Its QD-OLED TVs are great... moreSamsung's LCD TVs were good until 2-4-ish years ago, now they're above average. Hisense and TCL have been making huge strides and Sony's putting out some bangers too. But still, Samsung has SOME polish on their TVs, it's not completely bad, unlike their phone division.
And it's not like Sony was perfect overall either, they had far less dimming zones than the competitors until the BRAVIA 9 and even that TV is only 80% of an OLED's experience at best. So yeah, in the market Samsung definitely has a place and makes sense for some people. Lack of DV is a huge bummer but it's not a deal breaker i'd say.
And yeah, LCDs can't match OLED, LCDs just are an inferior tech.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2024Sony should release its phones much sooner, provide at leas... moreWhen Sony's biggest profit and revenue on phone-related things comes and is from their B2B sector (camera units and its related technology, fleet purchases) rather their B2C sector (Xperia, Alpha, etc.), it makes sense they keep their Xperia series lowkey these days than back in their high keys day of Z series, despite making the Mark VI series more mainstream and following the flow than their previous iteration. I mean, if you look it, Xperia is now act as side project, technology testing, niche and fan-targeting device and technology holder for Sony's other divisions (Exmor T sensor debut first in Xperia instead of Alpha, 5G & 6G modem from Qualcomm technology will be tested in Xperia for other divisions such as PlayStation, companion device for their other divisions such as Alpha, testing device for iPhones and Xiaomis camera sensor, etc.)

MihaiRo, 10 Nov 2024I already have this "Apple new feature" on my Hon... moreYes because they need to wait for manufacturers of these parts to be able to mass produce the parts - apple sell a lot more phones than honour and will need millions more of these parts than honour - to be able to use the tech in their phones the manufacturers of these parts need to be able to provide enough of these parts to cover the years apple iPhone sales
This is why apple will never have new tech in their phones and have to wait until manufacturers can supply the parts in enough numbers , it’s why in the article apple are using two manufacturers of these parts to parts to enable this feature
You all think apple are just slow , fact is , they sell so many phones if a manufacturer can’t offer the parts in enough capacity, apple can’t use that part

Batteri Voltas, 10 Nov 2024The watch itself isn't a copy, but then they proceeded... moreThe straps look similar indeed, but they aren't exactly the same. The bracelets of Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean watches look similar to the Rolex Oyster bracelet, but people don't say that they are copies. As for colors, nobody owns colors. When a watch company releases a blue-dial watch, for example, people don't say that it copies other watch companies that have blue-dial watches. The designs of the watch cases, which are the main parts, are completely different.
