I wanted to buy this as I have been a stock android user for many years now. I read lot of heating issues even for basic tasks like talking for about 30 mins or charging on multiple forums. I finally went with OnePlus Nord 4 instead. It is not stock android, but felt it is the next best alternative.

hmm, 12 Nov 2024Will it heat up for just social media and video watching ? ... moreMy pixel 6a gets hand burning hot watching youtube videos on 720p. I can't tolerate a phone the heats up, and Motorola was a brand I'd like to consider as a replacement. I don't play games on my phone, just use it to do basic things email, social media, youtube, web browsing. I just want to know if the moto phones that they lately been releasing with this new slim design that looks so cool with vegan leather get hot bc of the soc or the design. I understand the gen 8 getting a phone hot regardless of brand or design, but a gen 7 or gen 6?
Say if a sd 6 gets a phone hot then I can kind of assume it is bc of the slimming of the phone

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2024Thanks GSMARENA for the upcoming review, it would be helpfu... moreWill it heat up for just social media and video watching ? It's a 7 gen 1 so you wont play Genshin Impact with it. So what is this serious abuse the phone find it's self in for it to heat up so much ?

Thanks GSMARENA for the upcoming review, it would be helpful if thermals could be tested, there has been reviews from past Moto phones that heat up due to the slimmer design keeping in the heat trapped longer, disallowing air movement from moving like it would if the body depth was thicker.
Curious to know if it is the slim design or if the processor that runs hot etc.
