                  I've been very pleased with my red magic 8 pro. I got it just after launch. The 10 looks sick AF. Spending $500 USD less than the top Apple device and being able to kick its ass only makes sense. I'm really curious about the battery and the compatible 5g freqs in the USA. Will Verizon or AT&t allow it on board??? I can only get t-mobile to let me use my 8 pro.

Closest I came to fanboying over a brand was SONY xperia devices but funny enough I've never owned one, partly because it's next to impossible to buy one in my country and the other is they become unreasonably expensive while making all sorts of whacky choices like ultra narrow aspect ratios and tiny screens (for my particular use).

                      Fun fact - aspect ratio makes a huge difference in how big a screen not only feels but is area wise. A 6 inch 16:9 screen has a begger area than a 6 inch anything like 18:9 or more, square is the largest area a 4 sided polygon can have so for me 18:9 is absolutely perfect.

                      But no, although I do love recent designs the Z ultra and Redmagic phones have had (minus the gamery stickers and graphics on the back) I can't buy a phone just for its looks. I do want to collect many phones though. I always wanted them could never buy em :)

                                And if I'm being honest, searching through articles, the claimed gains about ufs 4.1 over 4.0 are all over the place. Some claim marginal gains some say up to 50% but none of the articles lead to a concrete/reliable source. I tried looking up on Samsung's semiconductor site itself and they don't have it listed there either let alone some UFS 4.1 Pro variant. Safe to say I am skeptical of this standard shipping out already but sure I'm keeping an open mind. Still doesn't explain why iqoo has it cheaper.

                                I am curious about the battery tech though. Be interesting to see if there's a noticeable difference.

                                And idk, maybe it's just me having a hard time digesting the price but Redmagic literally made a pro plus for norhing but a ram and storage bump and 550 mah of battery

So looks like old SoC's are better and cheaper..
