13 November 2024
Previous reports suggested Samsung is facing low yield rates for its in-house Exynos 2500 chip.

8 elite is a heater, hope all phones have big cooling chamber else green line on screen is inevitable.

I'd use exynos if it were cheaper. I don't need all that power but I do need the power efficiency.

How about introducing Mediatek in an S-lineup? That's their leverage against Qualcomm. Exynos clearly is no leverage against the 8 Elite.

Samsung needs to stop keeping their fab on life support. If it fails it fails. It clearly needs new management. If AMD can rise from the dead, so can Samsung's fab.

I Just Read, 14 Nov 2024People are reading BETWEEN the lines and not the actual wor... morei hope they offer snapdragon worldwide again like in galaxy S23 series, because exystove is a hot mess anyway

DarlingYext, 14 Nov 2024Every leakster says that it will use something different, E... morefor that they will use T606 for a galaxy S25 then

People are reading BETWEEN the lines and not the actual words. IU has DELIBERATELY used to defend his actual "no knowledge" of Samsung's intentions

          Here is the tweet
"I reiterate that all versions of th Galaxy S25 series in the world adopt Snapdragon 8 Elite, and will not adopt Exynos"

          A request NOT a prediction
Clearly IU knew that another vague tweet without foundation would be misinterpreted

Here is the request NOT prediction

I reiterate that all versions of the Galaxy S25 series in the world ADOPT Snapdragon 8 Elite, and (should not) ADOPT Exynos

If..if IU knew this or had any belief he would have written without using "ADOPT" TWICE

I reiterate that all versions of the Galaxy S25 series in the world WILL use Snapdragon 8 Elite.

I can see this being true. And even I would be tempted to buy one.
The only problem for me would be: root, Widevine, and Custom Roms.

The S24+ was the perfect size and weight. It was let down by the chipset, but not the screen. And the price was too much for the cameras you were getting. I could have justified the last two big drawbacks, if there was a variant with Snapdragon and Custom Roms.

Fyi, the S24 Ultra fixes the chipset issue, and the camera is impressive. Plus the S Pen is neat. But it is too heavy and too large. But it also lacks any software support for root + Widevine, or Custom Roms. That is only achieved on Pixel phones these days, but you're getting a mid-range phone at luxury prices.... so there are even more compromises to make!

Let's just say it is no longer 2016, the Android Phone market has gone backwards since then!

Every leakster says that it will use something different, Exynos, Dimensity or maybe even Snapdragon, but they don't know the real truth. Samsung is actually going all Unisoc starting with the S25 series.

I think some variants will have exynos and those sold in the us will have Qualcomm sd like the past years. This rumor doesn't fit the pattern Samsung has had for the last years.

This is so good. Dragon everywhere. And huge improvement this time. Much faster.

It really doesn't mean much if the rest of the hardware are basically going to be unchanged from S24, which is essentially the same as S23.

Samsung impressed to Qualcomm's made SD 8 Elite, due to its acquisition involved of making custom CPU. So it is possible that Samsung will use SD 8 Elite, for at least on S25 Ultra, as did on S24U on 8 Gen 3

Nothing but disappointing with minimal changes and an old OLED panel. But GSM failed to follow the leaks where Ice Universe reiterated s25 series will stick to Qualcomm.

it better be. I'm thinking about either get a s25+, or OnePlus 13 when it's available globally. If s25+ still gets exynos then the only choice for me will be op13.
