So, we saw that coming and everyone was saying 'No way! That's ugly!' :D
I even saw renders on X and people were saying 'Good job with PS!' :D
Honestly, I didn't believe either. I thought it was the job some designers. Producers chose the symmetric approach(more or less) with locating the cameras and this one is an interesting one. I wanna see how it looks in hand.

MasTomi, 14 Nov 2024yeah. 1 camera from flagship, put it on the corner to free ... moreAnd then a mid range is going to be better at zooming and has Ultrawide option as it has 3 cameras but still the same battery life because it's chipset is more efficient

Anonymous, 14 Nov 20244/3 requires 18mm lens to keep cam bump equal to 14 ultra. ... moreHm interesting. MFT normally has a crop factor of 2x from the Full Frame equivalent, compared to the 2.64x of the LYT900.
Normally it should require a 11.5 millimeter lens to retain the 23mm equivalent focal length if a MFT sensor is used. That 11.5 millimeter lens is actually used for the 3x telephoto albeit with the 1/2.51" IMX858 with a 6.08x crop factor.
But maybe I'm overlooking something since I only did the crop factor math.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If it starts as ultra wide and then also act as wide, it is zoom lens already.

MasTomi, 14 Nov 2024yeah. 1 camera from flagship, put it on the corner to free ... moreI don't understand with companies that put the camera on the back upper left corner of their phone.
If you put your back camera on the corner, you should do the same with the front camera. The same goes to middle placement.

Anonymous, 14 Nov 2024I don't understand why people want that many cameras o... moreHonestly minimum 2 good cameras makes sense
There are good combos such as 2 camera setup in rear with 1 ultrawide/wide +1 telephoto with macro should be enough for 97% users IMO
Adding one more camera (wide/ ultrawide missing from 2 camera setup above) will make it good for 99% users
4 camera systems take up too much space and are a waste of resources IMO

200megapixel camera for a small sensor is crap . 1/1.7 is good for 12mp, 1/1.3 is good for 16mp, 1inch type is good for 24mp. more pixels than this is useless.

Vivo X200 Ultra vs Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be a big battle.
We already know Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will lose.
Samsung fanboys:
How do you know that???
Me: Well, Vivo X100 Ultra already destroys Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, so I bet Vivo X200 Ultra, if they keep the same camera image processing, they will defeat Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra's AI image processing with ease!!!
Normal image processing >>> AI image processing!!!!
I love big pixels!!!!
Vivo X100 Ultra!!!!!
I own Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Vivo X100 Ultra, so I have experience.
Vivo X200 Ultra camera image processing will decemate Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra!!!!
AI image processing looks like a chalkboard painting and AI image processing deletes small details, like hair and knuckles.
Normal image processing doesn't delete any details at all.
Normal image processing > AI image processing!!!!
I'm happy some phones use same image processing as real cameras.
Very cool.

Bravosixgoingdark, 14 Nov 2024Unless that one camera can do wide, ultra wide and optical ... moreYou CAN have something akin to a variable zoom camera like the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom from back in the day, but with compromises like dim apertures (the K Zoom was between f/3.5 and f/5.6) and soft lenses.
