... moreThe 3GS has a 600mhz single core processor. That can't support ANY modern mobile OS.
It is upgradable to the latest which is 6.1.3. That should make the
Phone usable for a few more years. Theoretically you could use an iPhone 3GS until 2016 or until your apps don't support 6.1.3 anymore.
Most people who even get a 3Gs now just want a simple phone with some apps. Make calls and check their Facebook. And they just want to say they have an iPhone.

... moreWell, here in Thailand the 3Gs is sold in Jaymart at 8,900 baht, but it's only the 8GB model.
Very rarely do you see anyone using one of those.
