Samsung India extends free screen replacement period for certain Galaxy displays

        I have got the greenline few days back and the service center told me that the last day was 31 march 2025, But the service center was close. so why they have put such a date when all of the service centers are closed. they need to extend the validity of screen replacement.

              don't buy samsung mobiles phones of s series. we purchased in jan'21 and after 2 years it started showing green line on the screen. at that time they asked for charges for replacement. now they say we are replacing only if you purchased before 3 years. now our purchase date crossed 4 years.

                Many of the samsung displays had problem. We pay a huge sum of money in the north of 1 lakh rupees. Its atrocious that most of their displays have the white band issue and green tint issue. Worst brand altogether. they ask lot of questions when servicing and they should do exchange the display which is their and software problem irrespective of the conditions. S22 ultra had not been released more than 3 years.

                  So only for S21 and 22 appear the problem. and s23 and s24 are safe?

                        Anonymous, 15 Nov 2024doesnt mean all S21 line have issue, otherwise it already r... moreyea that's more of a samsung display issue, and from what I could find, it's because they have slimmed down the panel so much that it breaks down easily and is easily damaged by shocks or heat. Not even victus glass can protect it properly

                        And that's the reason samsung flagships fail at drop tests as well. Their panels are way more fragile now than before and that's really disappointing from a brand as big as this

                                What's the point? Had to replace the screen with my own money. The service center was not well behaved and kept asking for new things every visit. I was asked for things like a bill as I purchased my phone from amazon, was then asked for the box, which was a hassle to find when i finally found the box and then came to know about the limited time for free screen replacement and had to do it with my own money. This is the first the customer service was this bad and they have lost the faith of this customer right here.

                                      Can we get any replacement for S10 lite which has got the green lines. Checked at service center they said that the repairing cost would be INR 12,600/- with warranty for 90 days. Just in case if I run out of luck which I usually do will again have to pay INR 12,600/- if any line re-occurs. This is the new scam and on higher level which is truly not acceptable. If they promise to provide updates for few years then they should atleast not upload bugs in form of software updates. We all buy phones by paying hard earned money. So request all mobile companies not to do so and even if this happens try to be linear by atleast providing support by reducing the cost of repair if not for free. INR 12,600/- may be less for someone but for most of the middle class society (buyers) it is the monthly food expenses. Hope to see some favourable comments and action from Samsung.

                                        Xiaomi's bootloop issue mostly affected X3 Pro units but the consumer markets keep clowning on even their newer models.
                                        Meanwhile, Samsung sold defective screens to a lot of other brands so the green line became a widespread issue.
