Mainland Chinese companies are completely reliant on TSMC and heavy tariffs on them would make their own large companies have to pay a lot more for Tsmc products with resulting huge increases in prices for companies like Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo and Honor as well as many other companies that rely on TSMC. It would put their own companies at a big competitive disadvantage. Would that be a good idea?

Will tsmc employees screw up this deal again by NOT training nor showing up for work like they did early this year?!

That was ALL over the news. USA engineers had issues even understanding the technology & apllicarion used by TSMC!

China should impose tariffs on all Taiwanese imports since they have unfair advantage by receiving local and foreign funding. (The same argument from the EU)

If u can't make your own thing, paid another to do that. It's a fair deal for me.

Good to see that TSMC now has the moolah to fend off lawsuits filed by disgruntled US workers against them.
