Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra could be more expensive than its predecessor

It all has to do with the costs Samsung itself is incurring.

Rifaie564, 20 Nov 2024Is this even surprising? Absolutely not surprising. They have to compensate the S24 line disaster, where they were given for free since August with contracts. But we all know that constant price increase will just make situation worse

Already S24 Ultra is way too expensive. People will go for Google Pixel Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max or even Honor Maxic Pro….which offer better value for money. There is no ecosystem issue in Android as you can jump between devices easily. Also, OnePlus 13 seems to be promising as well. Not to forget Xiaomi 15 Pro Ultra and other similar ones in the market. Samsung can’t expect people to keep opening their wallets! Investors damned!

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. If it gets more expensive, I won't buy it, and I always have a large selection of flagship smartphones from Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo, Vivo, Sony and Motorola. So Samsung is artificially raising the price, not to the detriment of customers, but to the detriment of itself, because people will not buy expensive phones and will opt for cheaper and usually better quality phones from other companies.

        What costs scamsung is incurring?!
The absolute unnecessary ads we see for months of their "new" (same old) phones which has a little to none upgrades?

"...However, the price in China should remain the same, owing to the cutthroat competition over there."

I'm sure some people gonna import S25U from China for this reason 💀🤣

At least iPhones stay to it's last year price lists. That's why I always get the ProMax. Sammy is a professional scammer. Hate me all you can. Sammy is a lemon. LOL

If they at least give bigger 6000mAh+ battery like ROG, OnePlus, then it is OK. But knowing Samsung, I don't have high hopes.

This ia becoming like the gpu market, you get more only if you pay more. Gone are the days of paying the same amount years later to get better tech.

If you wait enough between upgrades, you come to the store with how much you paid for your flagship phone, only to find out it will only buy you a midrange one, one that's probably worse than your 5 year old flagship phone.

More expensive but still trying to give the customers worse M13 OLED screen.... Shame on you Shamedung!

                    with the same camera

A price uplift with some mediocre upgrades? For real Sammy?

And it's still gonna sell like hotcakes. Unlike Apple's iPhone 16.

Samsung did promise "top-of-the-line" camera and display upgrades for the Ultra. Alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite that definitely raises the costs. Let's see if they offer upgrades that are worth the price raise (if there even is one in the end)

                            Is this even surprising?
