David 040882, 20 Nov 2024Global illumination? You mean global shutter?Could've sworn that was there marketing term but yeah. The tech that would capture the whole frame simultaneously at once instead of the common sequential scan type (don't remember what exact term is). But the new one gets rid of rolling shutter problem, I liked it.

    Not first minorr change. Expect a1 iii in 2028 very different.

      No global shutter system considering this is their flagship model. Plus no firmware update for a1.

      Even their a7iii got AF tracking firmware update.

          I actually find Sony's naming for their full frame cameras pretty easy to understand, easier that what Fuji or Panasonic or other brands do

            I expected them to add the global illumination tech from a9 III here. Oh well.

              Pretty mild update over the original a1. Just like with the smartphone industry, there are more and more "refreshments" rather than actual successors in the interchangeable lens camera market
