Anonymous, 23 Nov 20246 cores makes no sense as the phone SoCs have 8 cores.6 big cores, phone usual have 1 big core, 3-4 mid cores and small cores. Or current flagship soc has 2 big cores and 6 mid cores.

So 6 big cores only won't have trouble matching or beating current mobile flagship in Multicore.

In general the comments here are baffling, neither Intel nor AMD can offer the battery life Qualcomm has in this low of a price range, and 6 core QC CPU should beat any mobile i5/Ultra 5/Ryzen 5 that's currently on the market in performance.

Of course Windows on Arm has issues with software compatibility, and gaming isn't its strong point either, but it's much more excusable at this price.

Need to solve the compatibility issues. Intel and AMD are almost as good on battery life these days.

So its gonna be even more useless.

hmm, so i should get a new but worse laptop than the one i've, just because i desire a better battery life? nope, i can tolerate it for a few more years, cause i can play games on mine, use autocad, etabs/sap2000, robots for my uni stuff...
come back when most of the known software out there can work on your laptops, even on lower ends like it does with windows laptops.

There are affordable chips for windows devices already. These are called intel i3, Celeron and Pentium. Ryzen 3 for AMD and so on.

Never mind that you dont need to have the latest everything and can get something 5 years old PC and still does everything you need with no issues.

Get some 5 years old office PC with something Ryzen 5 or i5 and it be something 200-300 euro and then buy a graphics card something like GTX 1050 for like 200 euro and your good. Cant play most latest AAA games on high settings but still can play the games. More bling wont make the game play experience better.

6 cores makes no sense as the phone SoCs have 8 cores.

It can't run a proper CAD software, any actually Inventor/Fusion/Solidworks/Catia/Alias/Creo/NX/Unigraphics/Rhino, non of these it can run.
