Bloomberg: Sony is working on a handheld PS5 console

It would be able to play full PS5 titles without an internet connection.

It's not a bad idea, and IMHO I think it would do better than Switch 2 (or whatever name Nintendo comes up with for the next device). It would be nice if it had some of the features from PSP and Vita without relying on proprietary cards and chargers.

Also, if they want my interest, it should be moddable like Steam Deck, but I have my doubts on that one. Still, I think it could work.

    Anyone with a modern console knows how vital being online is no updates no online lobbys or servers and thats most of the current trending games can not be played without a connection.

    I like the idea but majority of them will be used around the house where theres tv so will need to compete at least an oled display and 2.1 sound with Bluetooth headphone capatability.

      Mostly. Will have users using 2TB m.2 ssd. for games.

        For the Majority. People will surely love that. Especially for the fact that they can play their favorite PS5 games while in the middle of nowhere with no Internet but has electricity.

              403 Forbidden, 26 Nov 2024They're just too late to come into this kind of market... moreConsole always have advantage of being cheaper, when ps5 came out it was cheap to the point you couldn't build pc to match it's specs, if they get loss at hardware then it's possible to enter handheld market, many handheld are expensive.

                Seems like we will get a new PSP before GTA 6.

                  From age of Nintendo, Russian octopus with a diver or tetris we went into this.

                      If I were go for a handheld console that follows the DNA of the "Techno pocket go"

                      Ditch the screen on controller switch aesthetic for better battery life

                      Keep the same hot swappable battery 🔋

                      And keep the glasses for that massive screen experience

                      Vr glasses handheld gaming isn't saturated at all literally only one in existence now

                                      Meh. Pretty late for them to enter the market. MSi Claw, Lenovo Legion Go, ROG ALLY X and Steam Deck all exist. Not to mention the Switch and LogiTech G Cloud also in the midst. Also whatever Zotac is cooking (yes the GPU board member.)

                                      Also this is what the portal should've been. The Portal was just a Wii U but done somewhat right.

                                        I'm convinced SONY wants people to hate them. Their products used to me so desirable once.
