US refused to comply with China regulations and laws that demand those platforms to store and process their data inside China and US simply refused it by the reason of potential reason of sharing these data with China goverment When US wants to store, process their data inside US for the reasons we all know. this is the real reason why they are banned. you can search and find more details about this topic
On Contrary, Tik tok has make deals with Oracle to store US users data inside US and comply with US regulations and we can all see that American still concerned about the potential of sharing users data with china.

This is ironic since, it's a clear disrespectful. We can all see who are saying that I'm above the laws because I have military power.
I'm not saying that China government is transparent and great and US government is bad
I'm just implying that these practices would only complicate the relations across the globe

All because of so called "tracking/spying" mechanisms which were, surprise surprise, mandated the the US govt themselves to be installed to DJI drones right from the start. People here are over simplifying the Huawei situation, it was about their 5G networks primarily, that could have potentially included a back door for espionage. China's regulations are WAY different than the rest of the worlds. They are more aggressive in promoting and maintaining their own business.
"Chinese officials have repeatedly asked local firms to reduce their reliance on foreign tech" No other country has "asked" for this from their own tech firms.
Given that there's a internet barrier and everyone has to use VPN's, we can see where this is going.

xPandamon, 8 hours agoCan't be worse than Huawei.Huawei can't use the good foundries. Xiaomi has access to TSMC and Samsung so it should be better as there are no restrictions on them. Basically Huawei were almost on par with Snapdragon before the restrictions were implemented but only being able to use SMIC is a major stumbling block. They've really had to innovate a lot to even get the chips they have whilst only having access to SMIC who have no EUV litography machines

YoloBS, 14 hours agoAnyone remember Xiaomi Surge S1 in mi 5c ?I used to own one. No OS updates at all, stuck at Android 7. No custom rom at all cause no kernel source and any of its tech pack was released to public. Easily heated with 28nm fabrication, while the strongest contender was SD625, was already at 14nm. The only pros are the phone well built case.

Xiaomi is not in the way of the US to have sanctions just cause.
US only care about US and do the actions that benefits them. As Xiaomi is not in their market then they can't do what ever they want without a reason. Show me any brand from what ever country that have got any sanctions from US that are not in business with them !

[deleted post]Is it something like being cool if you are deranged these days ? Brain stops working when it comes to trump.

Give me a reason that makes sense for Xiaomi to get sanctions when they dont do business with the states ? Your derangement is blinding you to have reason in this.

Also are you far leftist liberal that patriotism is a bad thing for you like all who hate the man so much also hate freedom of speech as they want to censor everything that dont fit in their world of tough and so on ?

Believe mainstream media that takes everything out of context for the reason to great fear so they have power over the information what is real and what is fake
