FCC certification confirms some Samsung Galaxy S25 series details

27 November 2024
Samsung seems to be neglecting the vanilla Galaxy S25.

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2024I'm using S24+ and it isn't oversized at all. Muc... moreI never got used to it. Tried several times, and still find 72mm the widest acceptable width for my phones.

Maybe just me, but the vanilla S24 and iPhone 15 Pro is already a bit large for me, though still well within limits.

Most leaks are confusing and quite often bogus.

AK, 29 Nov 2024This article needs to be updated. The figures were misread.... moreInteresting. that's somewhat... relieving...

Slowest to charge among all flagships phones? Even iPhone 16 has faster charging(both wired and wireless) while also having longer battery life. WTF is Samsung doing? Are they also going to put same old camera sensors for the 4 year in a row? Who is gonna buy it if there is no improvement?
Meh, I wanted to buy s25, but it looks like I'll have to go with Oneplus 12/13.

This article needs to be updated. The figures were misread. The 9W refers to the 'Reverse Wireless Charging' feature not standard wireless charging, its still 15W.

Zadrigo, 28 Nov 2024These grifters keep on milking naive users who trust brands... moreThey copied exactly the same method as Apple, a slightly faster processor, a slightly better camera, and in practice you won't be able to tell the difference between the latest model and the one from before the 5th generation. XD
Plus super slow wired charging and useless wireless

smartjunkie, 29 Nov 2024well does not affect me as I am a note user for years, the ... moreI can't say for others, but i personally prefer smaller phones. You are right, I am not a power user, but Nokia 3310 would be an e-waste for me. I don't need a phone to be my workhorse. For that I have my other devices like pc, laptop and camera. I appreciate the same things on a phone as you do. I just don't need all the functions. The most important thing for me on a phone is its camera. Smaller footprint is not a must have, but if it was, then it's a plus from me.

I know phones will become even bigger because you said it all. Most people don't use or have multiple devices. Instead they use just their phone for everything. That's cool. But i'm not that kind of user. I understand your point of view. Can you understand mine?

              Have a great day.

Yep. I was wise when I decided to opt from my S22 to the S25 plus... They skimp too much on features for the smol phones...

well does not affect me as I am a note user for years, the bigger the phone the better obviously only up to a certain extend maybe 8" then it becomes impractical !

the smartphone to me is my workhorse so i dont understand how people use smaller screen phones... maybe not treating it as a workhorse but a phone that's why, waste of money !
                  you better off using N3310.

Until Samsung innovates , they won't get my munney

Oh come on, Samsung, this is just a de-evolution atp for S25 vanilla. Even HTC made a noticeable, great improvement with U24 Pro compared to U23 Pro despite struggling...

Used 4.7 inch phone in the past as my Sony Z3 seemed too large for me but it was only 5.2 inch. You will get used to large phones trust me. They also made bezels really small and large phones can be carried easily.

Say what you want, there's no phone like the base Galaxy S phone.
It's not about the cameras, the uwb, the charging speed, the SOC.
It's all about the size, and especially the weight.

There is literally NO OTHER phone that weighs 16x grams, while still having flagship, or flagship like specs. Not even the base iPhone.

The base Galaxy S is literally all about being small(ish) and lightweight. And for people who couldn't care less about carrying a brick in their pockets, and want the best one-handed phone money can buy...there is just no alternative.

I wish the X200 pro mini were it....but it's substantially bigger and heavier.

Giving that even the S25+ is oversized for me, I'll only have the S25 as my choice, and will have to accept some of the shortcomings

This phone shouldn't be called "Galaxy S". This is an "A" class phone. Or at least "FE".

There was a time that i would actually get exited for a s series announcement. S series were the phones where all the tech advancements in mobile phones industry showed up. They mocked apple for so long that they become worse than apple. Nowadays even iphones bring something new, and don't even get me started on Chinese brands. S series is really dying.

The entire Galaxy line-up has become trash since TM Roh took over.
This is just another year where the S line becomes bigger and crappier in a desperate attempt to milk money out of the few fools who still fall for the Samsung brand.

Samsung apparently hasn't realised that oversized phones without basic hardware features are a dime a dozen these days.
Except the competition is offering better cameras at least.

I have no intentions of buying a Galaxy ever again.
And if Sony's software want stock garbage, I'd have long ditched this horrible, oversized and underfeatured S23.
