The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro proved quite a bit more popular than its vanilla sibling, but even it is going to struggle to find an audience.

If there were more PC and console games on mobile I would buy a gaming phone but currently there aren't any. ROG is just crazy expensive in Europe and other western countries.. in Indonesia they are only $700..

not even old games like The Witcher 3, Assassin's Creed are coming to mobile where the Nintendo Switch which has a much weaker SoC can run this.

    2 years of updates is a joke. Price should be 40% cheaper to account for the fact that they are throwaway phones.

      Just wait for the budget ROG 9 FE (that what the news site I read called it) and the ROG 9 FE will use SD 8 Gen 3.

        [deleted post]RedMagic users are honest unlike the paid ROG fans you're talking about. We only paid for half the price and are super satisfied with the Gaming performance on RedMagic devices. Those ROG phones are overpriced and yet have not so much new to offer every year.

          Paying so much for no unlockable bootloader is stupid. Whether it is Apple, Asus, or any other company, most are trash tier in this regard.

            I have never been a fan of the ROG Phone way before it was overpriced.

            Even if it has TOTL specs, even if it has a headphone jack with an ESS DAC in it, sorry but it ain't for me. I prefer those other gaming phones.
