Afaik all Samsung phones are only rated for 800 cycles before they reach 80% battery health, while iQOO's Neo 10 Pro has 120w charging, a 1600 cycle battery, value leaps and bounds ahead of any Samsung, and better software (on Chinese models at least, FuntouchOS isn't much better than OneUI and I couldn't deal with the name)

Most Chinese brands do 4 years of OS support with a further year of security support, and even Motorola has put out the Android 15 update to some of its devices. If pushing the update after Motorola isn't a sign that Samsung is being slow then I don't know what would be.

Will get different phone when it will be carrier paid thus july 2025.
Definitely will buy something with clean android no bloatware UI, with a fast charging capabilities and a charger in the box and new types of batteries thus no LiPo or LiIon.
So brands like Oneplus, Motorola or if Nothing adds more to charging speeds would be my best option.

1st time samsung user here since s24u released. i have those edge activated its good to have this option to be activated anytime than nothing.
Anyway i activated it but i never use it.

just make separate edge panel app or add in good lock app for install app and download presets thru it for who need it.

Realme GT Neo 5 for example tops up in 5-7 minutes with its 240W charging its so fast the phone does not have even time to heat up to damage battery while Samsung with a 45W charging means battery is one hour under stress and big heat.
So if a 120W phone tops up battery in 10-15 minutes it does less damage than charging phone for one or two hours or let it charge overnight.

I have been a Samsung Note owner for 5 years. Next year my phone will be a flagship Honor magic series. I've grown tired of Samsung's BS

To be perfectly honest, I have made very little use of the Edge Panels feature since its conception back in the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge days. It makes sense for Samsung to get rid of them, since they were really a feature for those devices, anyway. Besides, on the Ultras, you have the S Pen menu icon always there when your pen is detached and charged, so some of the functionality is still there. Checking weather on the fly or using a compass, which were two things I used it for the most, will be lost, but IMO not necessary to keep said feature.
This will affect those who use them with regularity, however, and I feel sorry for anyone who makes regular use of them, but I guess "the times, they are a-changin'", as Bob Dylan would say.
