Required hardware specifications are at least 4GB Ram System, 64Bit instruction and Nvidia-AMD-Intel gpu.
Porting can also be done with compatibility layers and theoretically for all hardware platforms that meet the minimum requirements.

GAMIR3DH, 05 Dec 2024You can install SteamOS on a ROG Ally or Legion Go i suppose.It wouldn't be the same. AFAIK, Valve doesn't have SteamOS 3 out for flashing onto another device (yet), not even for the Steam Deck. Also, there's still no guarantee of 100% compatibility.
Again, this is only a theory, as I don't have these devices to test it out on. If you wanna try it, go ahead! 👍🏻 Just make sure to back up data first.
