Anonymous, 06 Dec 2024Your argument is proving more and more weak with your examples.Idk what y'all are fighting about but I moved to iOS from Android strictly for the third party app stores.. they had the best fan made Pokémon games that you couldn’t get on Android at the time. I could never use stock iOS without being able to sideload apps, that would be torture.

The judge disagreed, saying "Apple's overcharging of commission to app developers based in the UK in relation to commerce transacted on non-UK storefronts did amount to conduct implemented in the UK"

Apple is free to chose electricity, internet and catering suppliers in Ireland. They are not paying consumer level fees for any of that.

You are not limited to only apps from the App store, that is an Android fanboi myth that has been spread since the dawn of time lol I have had fortnite sideloaded on my iPhone since the day it was pulled from the App Store and still do along with all of the premium Spotify, premium Youtube, etc apps.. 🤔

For this analogy to make sense, Apple needs to own the town, which you choose to move to. All you have to do is move to another town.. Like Samsung one or any other that has as many shops as you would like (which is what I did). You can even open your own and make it available "for free".

Whatevs, 04 Dec 2024The EU's pursuit of Apple is unjustified. I eagerly aw... moreWhy is it unjustified if Apple are breaking monopoly laws that have been in existence for far longer than tech companies?
Even Apples reason for limiting sales to only their 'shop', that it makes software purchases secure, is extremely weak. The real reason is that it is a huge cash cow.

If the App Store didn’t exist, would this developers existed to begin with?
I don’t see people suing YouTube for keeping 45% of ad revenue and creators only getting 55%.
