Apple lawsuit for nearly $1 billion given the green light in the UK

The EU's pursuit of Apple is unjustified. I eagerly await Trump's response to these frivolous lawsuits. Instead of litigating, governments should simply regulate or restrict Apple's services if deemed necessary. Clearly, the EU and other governments target successful tech companies for revenue. DUH

alresave, 03 Dec 2024I don't understand how any app store can be a monopoly... moreThe point is there is no other selection of malls to go to with Apple.
You can't even sell direct like you can with Windows and bypass the mall completely.

I don't understand how any app store can be a monopoly no matter if it is Apple's, Samsung's Huawei's or Google's. If I own a mall, I charge a rent and you have to pay it to sell on my mall. If you don't like it, you can go to another mall, and you sell to other customers and that's it. The ones that should complain and sue are the device owners, not the developers. The developers sign a contract and agree the terms if they want to sell on a market.

Silly 🍎 Apple, who do they think they are? Only the governments are allowed to extort their people's hard-earned money in every way possible! 🫵🤑💰

I mean, 30% is a bit much. Here in the U.S., 30% of $1 would be $.30. That's roughly one-third of a dollar that Apple takes, and you never earn.
...And here we're worried about government tariffs, while tech giants have been applying their own form of taxation already. It's not right or fair, but it is what it is.

Lister, 03 Dec 202430% commission is scandalous, I hope the devs win this one. I hope everyone of them ends up like Epic Games and loses their iOS developer certificate for life. Distribute your apps yourself, do not cry about the cost of being on someone else's store lol

When a company charge you double the base price (or lets just say 600$) for 16 gig ram and 256 gig storage, they deserve far more penalties than this. Remember, you can't become the most valuable company in the world simply because your products are good. no. You have to milk every penny possible from customers.
