Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024There are no details of Intel N150It's a N100, but with a 200 MHz clock speed bump. That's it.

        >The Passmark score is around 5% better than the N100, as are the Cinebench numbers. That means you can expect nearly identical performance to the N100, which is perfectly fine for an entry-level computing machine or an in-house server.

        No need to upgrade then

At this price, I feel most people would be better of with a used Lenovo ThinkCentre or HP ProDesk/EliteDesk for about $50.
Sure, the ones around that price are not officially compatible with Windows 11, but you can get a Ryzen 5 2400GE or Core i5 7500T with 16 or 32GB RAM compared to what is essentially a Celeron in these. Scored one EliteDesk 705 G4 myself earlier this week (even case with a brand new 256GB SSD), that thing runs Forza Horizon 4 on the iGPU at 720p60 on low details, just give that a little thought.

I guess these are more power-efficient but for most people that probably won't make a difference when it comes to this low W number.

pl2rts, 09 Dec 2024You think that you are funny or something ? Make a joke th... moreIt was not a joke. I misinterpreted your post. I thought that you were trying to say that a $600 mini PC was better than a $190 mini PC, but actually as you said, your point was that Windows PCs that cost about $600 are better than the base model of the M4 Mac mini for gaming. I agree with you on that. I cannot edit or delete my posts.

Nah, thanks. The only mini pc's i'd consider buying at this point would be the minisforum Elitemini AI 370 (amd ryzen 9 hx 370 apu) or beelink ser 9 also amd ryzen 9 hx 370 apu. The rest is weak for proper pc work.

And there's even passmark and 7zip results in it, really happy about that 👍

If gsmarena only had the possibility to bring back at least some of the old daylight scenes for comparison of 50mp+ and zoom shots for at least camera phone reviews, and maybe tell whether or not a phone has variable flashlight brightness (useful when used as a camping lamp or for reading and whatnot) the phone reviews would be just as perfect again. I don't want to grab the whole arm when a hand is offered, but maybe we can still hope for it?

On topic: let's not forget, from some manufacturers, these inexpensive N100 (and maybe the N150 too) mini pc's are even available completely passive cooled without any fan, all while not throttling under a prolonged load, depending on the dimensions of the passive area (e.g. Industrial designs). Quite useful when it needs to be really silent or when placed in a dusty environment and running 24/7.

[deleted post]16GB RAM is still more than enough for everyday use. It's not like people who buy this kind of mini PC would do any desktop gaming with it.

IpsDisplay, 08 Dec 2024I love the power draw on this The n100 was pulling 7watts thoN100 is pulling 20W, Alderlake N wasn't made for low power consumption but area efficient. They use small space hence they are cheap to manufacture.

Anonymous, 08 Dec 2024So a $600 mini PC is better than a $190 mini PC.You think that you are funny or something ?
Make a joke that is funny for everyone and not just for yourself!

Never mind that the article author write the 600 dollars Apple Mac Mini in it for comparing something. There for i said you can get a lot better mini PC for the 600 dollars range then Mac Mini

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024Why is GSmarena even reviewing pc's now ? I know not many people like PCs or laptops... with this you will know more about other electronics besides smartphones... they are still devices.

Why is GSmarena even reviewing pc's now ?

Mini PCs are indeed a godsend for many things.

I have mines hidden inside a cabinet of my TV stand. I use it as a media player and also have a dozen VMs running, each VM containing various automated tasks during idle. For example, there's this idle money-making app called Packetshare. You double your income on every VM instance that app is running. And this is an old mini-PC we're talking, with an i7-8750H and 32GB RAM, surprisingly still very capable.

Anonymous, 09 Dec 2024Can play Infinity Nikki?Maybe with an external gpu but I wouldn't try it.

Basically runs as fast as a Redmi Note 13 Pro+ for $230, pretty solid imo
