AnonD-1825, 13 Aug 2013I don think so, fall is going to be very great time for app... moreI think its the fact that a lot I hang round with and techies online (false friends as such)are getting bored with iphone even though hardcore Apple fans.I want and others want is for Apple to get back in the game and blow us away with this next iphone..This next one is going to last till at least Sept 2014 and thats so much time for things to progress and new O/S to release etc.
What if NFC really takes off FOR EXAMPLE and iphone users are left out till the next iphone arrives.I am thinking of business people in citys at lunch etc who have little time,,all their mates with Lumias,BB'S and Androids just nip in and get their lunch paid for in seconds...All iphone users stood there in line with cash waiting to be served..Thats what I mean things move fast and this iphone could fall even further behind if they just bring out another poxy incremental upgrade..Apple need to catch up and overtake to bring new life to the device and futureproof it.

Apple have already so huge user base so the new phones going to sell tens of millions judt like they have been for every year, and the user base growing everyday.
Theres a lot iPhone 3gs/iPhone 4 owners who are going to buy this iPhone 5S.

1... moreSo you are those who think marketshare is everything. Maybe you didnt know, but actually the timerate what you just said apple made record spring results, so they sold 5 million more iPhones than year before sametime, and yet they still lost marketshare.
You need to understand this difference. More people wanted iPhone than before, so what you said just isnt right.

This news came almost one and half month ago, wheres the 30 million? Galaxy sells already dropped a lot, samsung cant compete with new iPhone, they doesnt have any new device to compete with new iPhone.
This same actually happened last year too with galaxy s3. This fall release for iPhone actually have been perfect timing, no competition just apple selling s*it loads of iPhones.

The rumors also have it that the "new" iphones are being mass-produced i China in their millions.
Like any product intended for a mass market.

apple is too lazy and sucks we have been waiting the whole year and we will have to wait another 2 months and not for even a high end device it seems like that apple dun want to compete vs the s4 it is waiting 4 pple to get bored and trying to steal the show of the new year

This same has been said last year, yet after that apple has sold around 150 million iPhones.
What you think going to happen over next year? Apple selling even more iPhones. There's still HUGE markets for smaller smartphone, actually not any big phone have sold anything like iPhone, also those big phones sells always slown down after few months, this already happened for galaxy s4

You have to consider the heft of the phone, the finish (matte or glossy, plastic or rubberized), design elements like metal accents, etc.
I think the Moto X has the ideal construction for a 'plastic' phone, while the Galaxy S4 continues to lead the charge to the bottom with its faux metal and cheap glossy back panel.
In the end, the aesthetics of a phone don't concern me nearly as much as the other specs, and so far only the Galaxy S4 Active has (most) of what I want:
- 5" 440+ ppi TFT/IPS LCD screen
- removable 2600+ maH battery
- expandable micro SD slot
- physical buttons (I keep hitting capacitive buttons on the Galaxy S4)
- Android
- 8mp camera or better
It isn't ideal, but it'll do for now.
