rizki1, 10 Dec 2024nice.. I've seen the battery test of the Redmi Note 14... moreHard not to with a lower clocked chip, low res display, etc.
The battery itself is nothing special. Would stand to improve by implementing the same tech from higher end phones though that would lead to less efficient bang for your buck.

nice.. I've seen the battery test of the Redmi Note 14 series since this phone came out in India yesterday.. Redmi just destroyed any competition from Samsung, Moto, Vivo, Honor etc. in battery life.

403 Forbidden, 10 Dec 2024sOfTwArE oPtiMiZaTiOn is just a poor argument of any compan... moreSamsung and Apple have weak hardware like SoC, display etc which makes their battery life look good and also their charging speed is one of the worse.

I'm sick and tired of huge bricks poking my spl... moreYou don't have to buy every normal sized phone that comes out. Get the current gen iPhone SE or Zenfone 10 or Ulefone Armor 20 mini or iPhone 13 Mini there's tons of options, you tiny handed people just wanna complain about a problem that isn't that widespread.
There's always 1 or 2 brands trying the market with small phones and these just don't sell.
First ever mobile phone creates was the size of a toddlers lunch box with an antenna sticking out. Not sure what you want with that reference.

bbk dropped their battery health technology, it seems it is incompatible with si/c anodes, which is a bummer. i'd rather have a 5000mAh battery with 1,600 recharge cycles, than 6000 mAh battery with ??? cycles, but let's hope si/c anodes can withstand 800 cycles like the old li-po ones, because the whole thing is that si expands during litiation and even though they came up with nanotubes, porous surfaces and what not to counteract the expansion, we still yet to find out how many cycles si/c batteries can withstand

Thanks to chinese brands, that innovate on useful features, such as better water resistance and higher battery capacity
Also faster charging and battery life span
Other brands meanwhile are continuing with years old design, battery size and camera. So disappointing

I'm sick and tired of huge bricks poking my spl... more> Technology should be about downsizing
That's what they doing? They make a bigger battery that has the similar size as another company's 5000 mAh battery.

Samesung, 09 Dec 2024Meanwhile samsung using 5000mAh for 6 years in a row. There is no sense in going from 5,000 to 6,000, as you'll stil have to charge it every day. 8,000 would make some sense, but then you'll have a 300+g phone, which no one wants.

JimmyTheGreatest, 09 Dec 2024I'm allergic to phones heavier than 200g.I 100% agree that phones over 200grams are awful, that comes from somebody that has one - 202 grams, and it's almost too heavy, to be honest for my phones I want something that has under 200 grams, something like 180-190 grams is nice. I would MUCH rather have a phone with 190 grams and 5500mah, then 205 grams and 7000mah.

JimmyTheGreatest, 09 Dec 2024I'm allergic to phones heavier than 200g.Herar hear. The focus should be improving efficiency, not just cramming larger batteries in. 170 to 180g to me is the ideal max weight. Anything over 200g, especially if the materials are just plastic, is ridiculous.

I'm sick and tired of huge bricks poking my spl... moreDislike heavy large phones all you want
But please don't disrespect genuine technological innovation in battery chemistry
Please I beg you don't walk away from gsmarena comments with the idea "it's just a bigger battery in a bigger phone"
If you want sources and data I can share it with you we are in a critical point in history for battery development it's not vaporware it's serious historical stuff on the horizon
