403 Forbidden, 15 Dec 2024Still a better deal compared to another all-rounder midrang... moreiQOO has been pathetic in midrange series since two iterations. Shifting to Dimensity hasn't been helpful. Also, they are not launching devices from 7+ Gen 2/7+Gen 3 under 300-350USD mark. Poco has done that and has been successful. I don't mind LCD display. But give DDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and keep 256GB as a base variant. They will have winner. They didn't release 8s Gen 3 variant globally and they won't 8s Elite powered phone as well.

403 Forbidden, 15 Dec 2024Still a better deal compared to another all-rounder midrang... moreRedmi Note camera hasn't evolved much after Redmi Note 10 Pro series. iQOO Z series and recently Motorola has nailed the camera in this price segment. Nothing comes close to these two series of phones. Especially Motorola who has nailed midrange market this year. It's a matter of time when they iron out camera UI lag in Moto Edge 50 Pro and it will be perfect midrange series for Motorola this year.

I don't think it will ever get development again as it has shifted to Dimensity chipsets now. But I hope to see Redmi Note 13 Pro get development for next two years.

Xiaomi has been on expensive side these days. Poco F3/F4/F5/F6 has got good custom roms. Many people still rocking these phones, with exceptional battery life.

I don't like none of them because none of them have neither IPS LCD screen, nor sd card slot nor audio jack. Every smartphone that doesn't want to be called dumb should have those essential features.

Strawhat, 15 Dec 2024Try to change from 120hz to 60hz broOh I've done that when I've needed to squeeze more battery in a pinch, but that's not a reasonable solution, neither definitive. The phone is just power hungry and poorly optimized.

Anonymous, 15 Dec 2024I would go even as far as getting ov50m ultrawide on vanillaIsn't that sensor smaller than the JN1 though, while being more expensive than it? I get that it's stacked, but while stacked sensors definitely have increased dynamic range, their increase in sharpness (resolved detail) doesn't seem to be that impressive.
To be fair, I don't think this a bad sensor to use, and I'd be happy to see it being used on a mid-ranger so that I can be proven wrong about a comment I made a while back regarding this sensor.

But if you're a performance centric user, better just get a Poco or iQOO.
