DBS, 15 Dec 2024If TM Roh remains in charge, given how far Samsung has sunk... moreThe thing is, stockholders love cost-cutting leader like TM Roh because increased profit margins mean better annual dividend yield. Samsung needs a leader like Akio Toyoda who puts brand supporters and enthusiasts first when approving new products.

atichko, 16 Dec 2024And yet people are buying Samsung like hot cakes... So rega... more"And yet people are buying Samsung like hot cakes..."
That's unfortunatelly due to lack of advertising from the competitors, lack of availability, lack of software updates from the competitors, and people being afraid from switching to a "new/unknown" brand.

Wesker, 13 Dec 2024What a complete and utter disaster the Samsung of the 2020s... moreAnd yet people are buying Samsung like hot cakes... So regardless of the quality of their own chips (or lack of) they sell well. And by using their stuff, which will be cheaper than SD stuff, they increase profit margins which is what counts for such companies. The Samsung chip-making saga continues, regardless of the the good or the bad. It is sad however that after all these years they are still struggling to brake through with good, stable and efficient stuff. A decent competitor to SD and Mediatek would add value (which isn't the case for the moment).

DBS, 15 Dec 2024If TM Roh remains in charge, given how far Samsung has sunk... moreThis, and +1 for you.
Also, the "what they THINK their customers want" is just a internal marketing jargon for "what an individual or a few people inside the company really, really wants, but make it sound like customer is demanding it even though there is no demand for it".
And its not is just Samsung who is using this "internal marketing jargon", it's across industries.
Video Games, Banks, Telecommunications, Automotive (both ICE and Electric), the list goes on.

enlost, 14 Dec 2024You're comparing snapdragon 8 gen 4 with a 6 year old ... moreS9 FE is a tablet by Samsung.
The first FE phones were Galaxy Note 7 FE and a couple of years later the S20 FE and S20 FE 5G.
The main issue is that he tried to do a comparation of these two even they belong to different class. One being a mid-range chipset in form of Exynos 1380 while other is in flagship class of chipsets namely Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
So.. you are both comparing apples and oranges. Lol

If TM Roh remains in charge, given how far Samsung has sunk in quality and innovation since he took over, the S26 shouldn't even be made. Samsung'd be better off just saying "buy an iPhone" and be done with it, since that's what they THINK their customers want.

If the phone sold in Korea uses the Exynos version, then there's no problem. However, if Koreans prefer the snapdragon version while they sell Exynos version to other countries then there's the gap because it's like they're trying to sell something that they don't want themselves

Vic, 13 Dec 2024This is the worst thing that could happen to Galaxy S series. Depends. If the Exynos is finally good why not 🤷🏻♂️ If not they will switch to SD anyway 👍
