Wesker, 13 Dec 2024What a complete and utter disaster the Samsung of the 2020s... moreI like the design of the S24.
If the S25 is the same size and design and comes with the Snapdragon SOC, I'll be interested.
Cameras aren't the best, but that's OK.
I just wish OneUI would copy some of Google's features like text select, screenshot on the recents, and Now Playing music recognition.

Vic, 13 Dec 2024This is the worst thing that could happen to Galaxy S series. Look at the bright side. Samsung has 2 years to come up with a better modem than what is on the 2400. Exynos 2400 is pretty good but battery drain by its inferior modem is still a problem.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2024most bluetooth headphones aren't audiophile grade though...Well not everybody is an audiophile. They just use some cheap wired earbuds and not serious in ear monitors. They want headphone jack to use their cheap joke instead of buying some decent tws earbuds. And one more thing audiophiles use a decent laptop and many audio equipment. Not a joke phone. Those who want headphone jack anyway can use an adapter. Some will still complain that they want to listen to music while the phone is charging.

If Samsung will bring back the Exynos chips to the S26, at least bring back the SD card slot and the headphone jack.
Also please for the love of anything that is holy, do not crucify the people who is asking for the return of the headphone jack and SD card slot.
You do not see any of them asking for the removal of the bluetooth buds or cloud storage now do you?
Plus it will benefits the merchant, in this case, Samsung, as they can now capture the wallets of both pro-cable and pro-cable-less.
Also, Samsung do not include the ear buds when buying a new device, but includes the wired earphones when purchasing the device with a headphone jack, which is unfair.
Finally, and this is assuming that the new management that Samsung did in their shake-up, finally realize that Samsung can never be like Apple.
Like ever.
I want to believe that they are changing and learning, but at the same time, I feel that they are not learning or out right refuse to learn and continue to make the same mistake again and again.
Must copy apple at all cost! But fail to realize that Samsung can not be Apple. Ever!
Also, Apple has a cult, Samsung does not.

I have the Galaxy S9 FE 5G with Exynos 1380 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra with Qualcomm SM8650-AC Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. I live only 0.29 miles from the T-Mobile tower, and both get a full 5G signal from inside my bedroom. I'll stream a 4k video from YouTube, and the table struggles to play it and keeps buffering every 10 to 15 seconds. I end connecting the table to Wifi to get it to play properly. My smartphone can play that same 4k video just fine without any hiccups. which tells me that the Snapdragon 5G modem is a way better 5G modem than Exynos 5G modem.

atichko, 13 Dec 2024I can fully understand that they want to use their own stuf... moreSamsung aims to “significantly” equip the Galaxy S26 with Exynos chips next year.
Type anything to generate re-post kerching.
The last prediction based on evidence AFTER it went to the FCC https://www.gsmarena.com/ice_universe_the_samsung_galaxy_s25_trio_will_support_qi2_wireless_charging-news-65677.php
If you accept that Qualcomm could be charging DOUBLE for the X8 Elite than the SD 8 Gen 3 then you have a reason for Samsung to not be part of the escalating Qualcomm duopoly
Mediatek has a market for their SoC, which for me given that it has for the last two years been the principle SoC I would rather Samsung use it over Qualcomm
My final point is I see no reason for Samsung using Arm stock cortices to generate the same improvements for Exynos 2500 as Mediatek 9400 and its 3nm fab and the 4nm 9400
The Exynos 2200 is only related to Exynos 2400 by name only. Exynos in 2024 is a major player.
You only have to see that the Exynos 2400E ranks higher than the Google Flagship Tensor G4.
There are some prolific nonsense commemorators who still advocate Qualcomm over Exynos, So as long as you use the 2nd best you can post this.
"Yeah, because they have to, Exynos is what EU usually gets, so if you want an S series phone here you will likely have to settle for such mediocre chipsets for high prices.
WAKE UP 2024!!!

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2024most bluetooth headphones aren't audiophile grade though...You probably won't even know or hear the difference between 30hz or 50hz sound... And complaing about 3.5mm jack on the phone and there is so much filters and so much files and formats and probably listening music from apple music or soundcloud or Spotify where quality of music is very degrade and bad enough that listening over 3.5mm is useless to trying to get good quality sound. Trust me Bluetooth will be fine for you... If you want quality you need to go back to records, cd etc to have any quality and get some good hi fi amp and grt some good headphones and connect to amp and listen... otherwise its pointless to try getting quality sound over phone and be audiophile over phone, Bluetooth is good enough.

What a complete and utter disaster the Samsung of the 2020s is.
A return to Exynos (not once in history was Exynos up to Snapdragon standards, except when Samsung was manufacturing both chips, how convenient), same design 4 years in a row now (S22, S23, S24, S25) an iOSification of One UI with the latest update...and let's not forget the recent marketing campaign critisizing Apple users for being sheeps, alongside the motto and i quote "If you try to fit in, you won’t stand out".
I can't take them seriously anymore

SShock, 13 Dec 2024I actually prefer in-house designs, if they are competent. ... moreThis, I want Samsung to succeed and MEGA (Make Exynos Great Again). It would give competition to Qualcomm and probably lower chip costs which could go to improving other hardware specs. What I'm not fine with is Samsung asking the same prices for an inferior chip. Just use this for fe versions to lower costs and experiment with it.

I actually prefer in-house designs, if they are competent. It's why I always loved Samsung SSD's because they have their own controllers that were always one of the best on the market. Same with Exynos in its golden era. Or Apple and their A and M series chipsets. Incredible chips. I wish Exynos was also like that and I'll have no issues having one in my phone instead of Snapdragon. Just get it there Samsung!
