The only reason to buy the 14 Pro+ is its battery. Otherwise, just get the Realme instead. (or Nothing's 2A+)
14 Pro has a measly 1/2" type main sensor. (meh)
but the vanilla 14 retains that 1/2" type sensor, which is appreciated.

In India they are more or less the same but how can we say the Edge 50 Pro is better if it still has UFS 2.2 on all storage, 4500mAh? Their SoCs are slightly different, the 7s Gen 3 loses out on GPU.

rizki1, 22 Dec 2024Nord 4 and Edge 50 Pro are already in the more expensive ca... moreThe Motorola edge 50 pro is actually cheaper in India. It's 32,849 for 12gb 256gb whereas the launch price of the Redmi note 14 pro+ is 32,999 for 8gb 256gb. Regular price of the Redmi note 14 pro+ is 36,999rmb for 8gb 256gb. Therefore they are very much in the same price segment with the Moto currently being slightly cheaper considering the storage. The 8gb 256gb version of the Moto edge 50 pro is currently out of stock but it's a lot cheaper than the Redmi note 14 pro+. Just 27,999 on Motorola's website. Not sure where you got the idea it's in a more expensive category

Does it come with 6 OS upgrades? If not, then i probably buy Samsung next year.
Next year all Samsung midrange will come with 6 OS upgrades starting from Galaxy A16.

Have an eye on it, because the European/rest of the world version can easily turn the tables in a negative way if the leaked specs are true.

Also, this ain't a midrange, but if you could find it at a good price and don't mind 60hz, an iPhone 12 Pro Max could be an option.

which other mid ranger is better there? what I know is the Realme 14 Pro+ which is a direct competitor to the Note 14 Pro+. Not many phones have build quality as premium as these Redmi and Realme. Both also have telephoto which is rare in this class.

There was a time when Xiaomi was ranked no 1 in India.
But somehow they lost it. Maybe due to - software support ( less number of Android versions compared to others), too many similar options ( with different brand names under the company), confusing line ups, bloatwares.
