I think the more concerning restrictions doesn't nessecarily have to do with Google, but rather the OEMs and their decisions to take away our freedom to unlock the bootloader. Because lets face it, rooting was always the way to go if you wanted to take control over your phone.

But now, most OEMs make it impossible to unlock it. No root, no custom ROMs, no control.

    Name me one interesting thing from the One UI 7, other than new icons that mimicking iOS' glossy icon design, separated Control Center and Notification Panel like on the iOS and Chinese phones, and the ugly NowBar and new battery icon. I'll wait.

          Android 15 = feature of One UI 6 or older

          Android 16 = features of One UI 7 or older.

          Want to guess next feature of Android 16 ? Go see One UI 7.

          Simple as that.

            Samsung will always be a standard , since every features on Android 15 already exist on One UI 6 even before release of One UI 7 and also being standard for having highest marketshare of Android.

            I would say, android 15 is the copy of One UI.

            Thats why it is more interesting to wait One UI 7 than seeing "new" Android 15 with "old" feature of OneUI.

Till samsung... moreIt’s not our fault that it took Samsung long enough to release their Android 15, we need to stop using Samsung as the "standard". Every other Android brands have released it for their devices, while Samsung took longer because of the new UI which is way uglier.

                      all phone maker said they'll give long support for os and security updates so google and they made a new release plan to make your phone to give you less updates than past.

                                        What I care about in my ROM is performance, features and as few bugs as possible. Everything else is tertiary.
