What I care about in my ROM is performance, features and as few bugs as possible. Everything else is tertiary.

        Android 15 is not even out for any samsung phone of which i am currently daily driving. And here i see a preview for android 16. This is the saddest post for me in all my years of following GSM arena. If samsung continues like this, what is the point of owning a samsung phone and what is the use of getting 7 years of updates if we have to wait a year to get a platform update.

              With each release since Android 5.0 Google has been locking down Android further and further.

              * CPU/RAM/Disk IO monitors? Pretty much none of them work any longer.
              * Automation? Only if Google lets you to do what.
              * Full adb backup/restore? Full device backup/restore? Deprecated. You're lucky if your OEM offers that. Many don't.
              * Access to /Android/data? Practically removed.
              Etc. etc. etc.

              And sorry, I'm not rooting my device to get any of this.
