      I think it's win win solution. Can keep rake the profit from selling sensor, while on the other side Sony still keep the Xperia 1 identity (no punch hole rounded corner etc), albeit only selling in low volume and limited region.

      Just like s＊x and cash theory. Xperia is just for sexy company portfolio, while the camera sensor is basically for sustain the company profitable.

              And yet they can’t manage to put great cameras on their entry level phones. The Xperia 10 Series could have been the best non flagship camera phone on the market but instead it’s WORSE than most other phones at that price 🤦‍♂️

                                      Their image sensor too is quite good being featured on their respective devices and Pixels which rank quite higher in Smartphone Camera tests these days.
                                      Samsung need to improve their SOCs however calling their other products garbage with not much concrete evidence is quite calace.

                                        Well moe people born each year more and new will be sold and old tech will be sent to landfill.
                                        Soon or later we will make another Hymalaias with just unused old and not reliable tech with a top mountain greater than Mount Everest.
