MediaTek Dimensity 8400 now official with all big core CPU, a first for its segment

This might finally dethrone the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3.

I pray to God this goes in some actually good value products and not just used in 1 or 2 phones and then forgotten.

Mediatek does some unconventional CPU configurations in its higher end models. And I like it. Though it would also be great to have one X core I‘d think for strong single core performance, but possibly the 8500 could do that. Considering Apple‘s small cores are as powerful or more powerful than the A7 series cores, and they are the most efficient chips on the market, it‘s not necessarily a bad thing to completely omit the A5 series cores when there is enough die budget.

In the end , only xiaomi , oppo and vivo will be using

7+ Gen 3 is on par with 8300, if this can get close to 2 million AnTuTu I will be happy.

Wow great SoC, I am using X6 Pro with Dimensity 8300 and offer outstanding performance in this price range (about $300)

Sounds turbo cool but phones will probably cost a kidney and throttle to 60%...
