For my 3D renders, I utilise an Intel i7 14Gen & Ryzen 39000x. In the future, it would be great if I could complete my task using my smartphone.

Mchip So sad its too bad, wen M1 lunched they said it ll blow the I7/I9 outof water, then you tubers show that it can do that, now MacbooK AiR M2 is competing with 45K i5 laptops with AMD graphics, its 73k, M1 can be brought for 55k, and while might not be a concern for some an entire stock of some electronic chip just doesn't downgrade itself, on its own if you see wht their CTO mouth said over an M1 M4 is like 140% better. i tell ya 10 i5 cant take the load of a xenon 12cor processor, so who is running and who is chasing.

On MacBook and Mac Mini, possible. But on iPad Pro? That is a real laugh.

don waltz, 24 Dec 2024Apple should put M series chip in their iPhones tooDifferent thermal ceiling and TDP requirements. They did it right by keeping a mobile focused design on the A series chip for iPhones. That way, they can scale up the M chips with less restrictions.

I don't know what to say. Why is all this needed on a consumer grade handheld device?

Server CPUs have even 64 cores and multiple cache memories and all. What will an Apple user do with it?
Will they carry 24x7 online website servers around in their pocket?

They claim it will remain cool. Under what circumstance I ask? While browsing? Gaming? AI? What is their target use with this?

Instead, the right direction is what they have been choosing so far- strong single core performance.
I could be wrong though, but there're hardly too many details right now..

Apple should put M series chip in their iPhones too

I would be very happy with more GPU power in a PRO chip without the need to splurge for MAX

So a discrete rather than an integrated gpu. This is getting very interesting.
