TechNoir91, 26 Dec 2024Ahhh, I see. I was thinking we're using the same softw... more35 mm basically has the most amount of pros with the least amount of cons of any lens, it's a no nonsense "do it all" focal length, not so wide that it looks distorted but not so zoomed in that it's impossible to frame anything. The X200 Ultra looks like it's gonna be a BANGER

walkman8, 24 Dec 2024Sorry, but what's Ultra about it? Pro already does 99%... moreIt seems that from a new DCS leak from today that the X200 Ultra will also pack a 1/1.3" ultrawide camera, using the exact same sensor as the main camera.
That alone is a massive improvement over the tiny ISOCELL JN5 found on the Pro, not to mention that it should provide a more consistent experience as it's the same sensor as the main camera. Hope that they pair it with OIS and the same Aperture to make it feel the same.

jiyen235, 25 Dec 2024no lol i just use my phone's pro mode and have raw mod... moreAhhh, I see. I was thinking we're using the same software haha, since I usually take RAW photo as well but not on stock software. I just wish for the main lens to be 35mm like Nubia, 35mm is sweet spot for me.

Anonymous, 24 Dec 2024Who cares at this point? I'd rather see the camera bum... moreThen buy an old LG Velvet or the current RedMagic phones if you want some flatness, the camera bumps on these flagships are for the sensors and lenses

this is a huge nothing burger. supposedly it uses the same main sensor, zoom and selfie as the Pro, with only the ultrawide upgraded (to same as the main). so that's inferior main, selfie cameras to the X100 Ultra, same zoom and better ultrawide. i can't think of many people that would take a significant downgrade in main and selfie for a better ultrawide (that was adequate).

Darth Caesium, 25 Dec 2024If you don't mind me asking, which phone are you using... morei think i've told you before lol it's a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The DSLR-esque thing im talking about is the untouched output from the sensor, due to the photo not being processed it looks extremely natural so that's why i love the shots even if i think that the shots being taken are amazing or anything.
I mostly use the raw mode for the main cam and sparsely for the zoom cam, I use gcam for the 3x and 10x for the most part and have normal + RAW output on so i get the best of both worlds, i get a normal output and i can go and edit a RAW file if i want, and although the gcam raw output is still processed it's far better processed than how samsung's native app does it in auto mode and like since the sensor is super small, i kinda NEED to rely on the gcam processing if i ever want to use it in any situation that's NOT super well lit lol
I can send you some samples if you want, for ME these are DSLR-esque but i can't say for sure you'll think that way so i think you judging it for yourself would be for the best.

jiyen235, 25 Dec 2024i know someone who uses an X100 Pro and i saw some samples ... moreIf you don't mind me asking, which phone are you using? The DSLR-esque photo quality from RAW mode that you're speaking about is exactly what I'd love to have.

And with the return of the 1' type sensor and 4k120 from all sensors, this may very well be worth dealing with importing and Chinese ROMs and all that. I've never done it but this may be worth it. Absolutely love what Vivo and Xiaomi have been pushing with hardware and software.

jiyen235, 25 Dec 2024i know someone who uses an X100 Pro and i saw some samples ... moreIs it Motioncam Pro, by any chance? Because I've been using it on my current device though, it works excellently with Snapdragon's chip and some Mediatek device also able to run it well. Motioncam Pro shoot almost DSLR-like images, their RAW and Direct Log Video also of high quality.

Anonymous, 25 Dec 2024And quite few sensors have 14-bit raws, it's just that... moreI watched comparison of Canon R5 8K RAW vs Xiaomi's Mi 14 Ultra 14-bit 4K DCG, to be honest its mindblowing how Xiaomi's 14-bit can achieve to a level almost able to match a full frame sensor. Of course the device need to be root, but honestly its pretty crazy to see the development of how some software tweaking bringing out the best of the camera sensor.
