This is bs. The entire galaxy S lineup should get it, or at least the first Gorilla Glass Armor that the S24 ultra has. I want to downsize from the S24 ultra to either the regular S or the S slim, but dont want to miss out on the antireflective glass.

[deleted post]People like you are the ones giving samsung fandom a bad rep. If insulting others not agreeing to you is the first thing you can do, it only shows your poor upbringing. Poor as in not taught of good manners, not poor in wealth that samsung ultras like to use as insult.

No "scratches at level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7", no buy! 🤓🤌

One area where Samsung completely dominates over other brands. Great to see this improving even further.

Will it finally going to scratches at level 69, with deeper grooves at level 70?

They should be working on the beach-safe glass instead of the gorilla that still can't survive a day at the beach.

jiyen235, 27 Dec 2024whilst this is a really cool thing, it's not an essent... moreWell, this is a good reason why Samsung differs from all those Chinese brands. Software. That graininess on low brightness has been fixed a long time ago, through a software update. So if Samsung produces a software that attends to the needs of it's consumers, what then is the need of complaining?

whilst this is a really cool thing, it's not an essential feature and after seeing the low brightness grain, i don't really know how to feel about it. Good on Samsung for having something "better" but if it has better outdoor visibility but poor indoor display quality, is that truly a better display? Like it or not, we use our phones more in dimmer light than in extreme lighting, at least that's what i've seen generally. When out and about we just take our phone out a little, check stuff/take a few snaps and then put the phones back in our pockets. That's why sustained brightness isn't really an issue for most people and people are fine with the iPhone having high brightness that lasts for like 2-5 mins at best lol
If any Chinese phone showed this issue i guarantee you the whole internet would've roasted it but since it's Samsung they just swept it under the rug. Defending practices like this led to the immensely anti-consumer industry we have today. I hope the future gets better but time and time again i've been proven wrong for being hopeful.

To be more exact and specific it will at JerryRigEverythig table scratches at Mohs pick 6 with deeper groves at mohs pick 7 just like all previous generations since maybe S3 samsung.
In other words it will be same just more gimmick and maybe dont die on a first fall from height of 8-20 inch. or 20 centimetres up to 1 metre.
But still it will scratech as level 36 with deeper groves at 7. While something as Vertu with real shapphire screen scratches at mohs pick 8 with deeper groves at mohs pick 9.

Let's just hope that Samsung does proper colour calibration on this display.
The anti glare is amazing, but if not optimised, the display may look bland.
