I dont get why the charging brick needs to have type-c port ? Isn't that also creating e-waste when USB-A is already very universal plug ? So you need to replace all your cables that went from USB-A to type-c or micro usb.
With USB-A you can have the to type-c and to microusb cables as there are still a lot of devices that have microusb plug and still in use. Even tough not allowed to sell them but still there are old devices with it as a charging port. I dont know is there even type-c to microusb cables
Also converter is not an option as even cable extension is a bad idea on charging. If you need like type-c to usb-a converter that then takes the fast charging speed away and have other issues

> The directive does sound like a hassle for makers, but the reality is that this is a huge win for consumers. The Union has once again proven itself as an organization that takes the side of its citizens and not the corporations.
Bold claim to make when half of your comments say: no charger no buy

"allowing the sales of new electronic devices without a new charger"
This is definitely not a win (at least for me).

Great! More incentive for companies to NOT include a charger in the box! Thanks EU! For the first time in a while, I can say, fuck you EU!
