What would be nice is an option, like the iPhone 17 Slim or the Galaxy S25 Slim, that uses both the technological advancements in battery and a slightly lower capacity to enable a very lightweight phone. The closest thing to that right now is the Infinix Hot 50 Pro+. If there was a 6.1 inch variant of that phone, it would be much nicer to use with one hand compared to what everybody else does at the moment.

IpsDisplay, 31 Dec 2024"instead of bigger and bigger batteries" Seems... moreThe technological progress can be used to make the batteries higher capacity at the same weight or keep the batteries the same capacity at a lower weight. We have seen a lot of the former but I‘d prefer some of the latter for a change.

Seems like you refuse to learn that it's the technological advancements ARE the reason the batteries are getting bigger
But you still refuse to understand this you want to hang unto bigger batteries must be heavier mindset
I have to genuinely ask why is it impossible from your perspective

The design and colourway of the upcoming handset have been confirmed previously. Now, the company has revealed the battery and build details of the phone. Several key features of the smartphone have been suggested in earlier reports. The Turbo 4 will feature a large battery and up to IP69 rating.

I like the design. Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco biggest enemy has been battery for a while now, so the push to bigger battery is a great solution. However, think they should also push towards making their phone lasts on lower charge/capacity. I also hope Mediatek themselves make moves on improving the efficiency of their chips to drain less battery too.

One of the weakness of this generation (Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6) was battery life. It will be great to see the progress.
I've also been testing HyperOS 2.0 for the last few days in my RN13P 5G and it is definitely an improvement over their first release, in all aspects. So their lineup for 2025 seems promising.

What’s next, choice between a small and a big phone? This is still GSMArena, where every phone has to be the exact same 220g 7000mAh brick with a 7 inch display, flagship specs and $150 price, otherwise it’s classified as e-waste.
