Theme Park is still kind of a joke.
While it should be able to theme third party apps to be truly useful, at least it SHOULD theme Samsung's own apps.
But it doesn't. And there's no good reason for it. If on third party apps the developers would need to not obfuscate the overlays, on Samsung apps Samsung has direct access to the code. They should be able to integrate so that theme park could access the app's UI to change it according to the user's taste.

astolfo, 02 Jan 2025This so much. Galaxy Store is a failure and I dont know why... moreOnly a non-samsung user not knowing the fact that Galaxy Store always gives app update sooner compared to Play Store, and its priviledge for Samsung user.

Also, Samsung is and Android phone, so it is normal to have more than one App stores unlike on closed ecosystem like iPhone.

jiyen235, 03 Jan 2025because scamsung fanboys are chumps who don't care and... moreAtleast samsung fans actually buy the flagship.

Meanwhile chinese flagship fanskid can only writing comment for free without buying the phone.

No wonder any chinese flagship has really poor sales compared to sales of Samsung flagship, and i am happy about it. 🤭

Cyberchum, 02 Jan 2025The "bloat" is also part of why I am a Samsung us... morethe apple comparison isn't wrong because samsung's base UI customizability is only average. Even Apple's letting you most of that stuff now. I had to use a good lock alternative (Nice lock), it took me a few hours to set it up and it's a huge pain to keep it updated.

Going through hoops because the manufacturer locks stuff, that's exactly the type of thing Apple users go through. And if i have to go through so much trouble anyways, then ANY skin can be customized like this. It's not like these good lock features are completely bug free. So yeah, unless Good lock comes shipped in with the settings, samsung's gonna be scamsung for me.

astolfo, 02 Jan 2025This so much. Galaxy Store is a failure and I dont know why... morebecause scamsung fanboys are chumps who don't care and are regularly getting duped into buying stuff there. Why else would they keep this app up for so long?

                    Samsung Who-cares-because-this-is-not-available-in-the-vast-majority-of-the-world you mean?

If I had a Samsung I would probably clock 100+ hours in good lock lol

jiyen235, 02 Jan 2025I've used samsung BECAUSE of the bloat all these years... moreThe "bloat" is also part of why I am a Samsung user. Just like you, I like tinkering with and tweaking my phone. Customizing it to my liking. And, like I said, One UI is currently up there with the most customizable android skins—that is if it's not outrightly the best of the bunch in that regard—so the Apple comparison is wrong. If it's about Good lock availability, until Apple's recent run-ins with the EU, Apple's services are globally available from day one. So, the comparison would still be wrong anyways.

Narazumono, 02 Jan 2025It's nice they're adding stuff but what are they ... moreSamsung naturally removes chinese competition, for selling a better phone than chinese counterparts.

Thats why only minuscule number of people use chinese flagship.

Cyberchum, 02 Jan 2025Calling someone a "scamsung fan" is so sensible. ... moreit IS logical tho, he's getting mad at something extremely minute, thus i thought he was a samsung fanboy, i mean why else would someone know so much about a weird detail like this? And i call em scamsung instead of samsung because that's what they are now. You guys used to mock apple and now samsung's just android's apple.

Cyberchum, 02 Jan 2025If it's integrated into settings app, you might still ... moreI've used samsung BECAUSE of the bloat all these years lol, i was always one of those guys who tinkered around with the little settings samsung had and everyone complained "why do they have so many features?", i always thought to myself "why not?". Seriously, they're just trying to be like Apple and appeasing only normies. My dad would be happy with something like this, not me. All i see is uncs using this phone anyway, just like iPhones, Samsung has become a normie brand.

jiyen235, 02 Jan 2025well i didn't know that, sorry for not researching how... moreCalling someone a "scamsung fan" is so sensible. Very rational of you!

jiyen235, 02 Jan 2025took em long enough to bring a feature that's used by ... moreIf it's integrated into settings app, you might still call it a bloated mess. Heck, One UI is, in its current state, arguably the most feature-rich android UI. It gets a bad rap for that from some quarters. Even on this site's comment section, user Cpt-whatever usually badmouths it for being filled with bloats.

I get why Samsung wouldn't want to go down that route, but what I don't get is the geo-locking. Had it been a brief thing—like a year at most—I'd say it's for beta testing or something like that. But it is nearly a decade. It reeks of preferential treatment. Making it globally available is long overdue!
