The Android Freak, 03 Jan 2025The S26 Ultra might use the 324MP ISOCELL HR1 1/1.2" (... moreOP is not the value proposition it used to be. Today's search on Amazon.es shows that you can get the S24U for 899€ including a Samsung 45W charger, while the OP12 cost 812€. For most people the best value for money is the S24U in this case. So, yes, maybe if you get the right promotional discount you can get the OP13 much cheaper than the S25U at some point, but around summer the price difference will not be as big.

Koool, 03 Jan 2025Samsung surely knows that people are tired with the obsolet... moreYou're out of touch with reality. The S25U will outsell all other flagships and will probably continue to do so at least for the next few years. I'm not saying it's going to be the best phone or that its price is justified, just that people will - again- make it the best seller among flagships in the Android world.

22081283G, 04 Jan 2025Current day base flagship (non pro, non ultra) are still us... moreIt's not just about sensors. Lens quality, optimization & ISP also play a vital part. In midrange segment all three of these factors are compromised.
Oppo find x8 has nearly same sensors for main & telephoto but it's output is way ahead of 13 pro+.

Honor magic 7 and Xiaomi 15 is 1/1.3" but it's omnivision but their telephoto is a disgraceful 1/2.76". Western brands aren't even close
1/1.56" and 1/1.95" is Realme 14 pro+ sensor size and even 13pro+ was ahead that curve 6 months ago

well, the cameras are probably fine for a midranger, but certainly no competition to contemporary flagship cameraphones.
The sensor of the tele-camera module is much smaller than e.g. the one in the vivo x200 pro (1/2" vs 1/1.4"), the main sensor is at the size-level of flagship sensors 5 years ago, and realme does not even disclose the size of its UWA sensor -which it certainly would if it were of any notable size.
So, that doesn't mean that this phone may not be able to take great photos. However, the camera hardware is still far away from current flagship standards.

No major change in camera. Nearly same sensors with newer names. Realme should have at least upgraded chipset to 7 Gen 3 instead of 7s gen 3. Realme 13 pro has very sluggish performance.

Even NFC still works with custom ROM.
Now stop spreading your version of events and stick to the truth.
What custom ROM are you using? It must be some useless trash ROM.

But 890 > 906 > 921... more>same sensor
You are right, I keked hard when they claimed "world's first LYT701 phone" when it's the exact same thing as its predecessor, IMX890 just renamed.
It's the same with LYT700C from Motorola.

These freaks be releasing phones with barely any upgrades every few months... 13 Pro+ was a mistake, they should have THIS phone instead of releasing that failure.
But I'll wager they'll release 15 Pro+ in 25Q3 with the exact same chipset.

Koool, 03 Jan 2025Samsung surely knows that people are tired with the obsolet... moreThe S26 Ultra might use the 324MP ISOCELL HR1 1/1.2" (Hexa² pixel) as a main sensor.
The 3x Telephoto sensor will feature a 50MP sensor.
If this happens then whatever you said may be true. S25 slim is really not a need for the hour. Let's see what happens with S25U. I don't think it will sell well beyond US. OnePlus 13 has nailed the cameras this time and if it comes at 899-999 for 256GB and 512GB with some promotional discounts, then it's game over for S25U.

it's 2025, and they still give 8mp ultrawide sensor...
atleast they should use 12MP..
