Seeing how Google alone has paid Apple around 100 BILLION dollars for that stolen privacy, so far, it isn't an unrealistic idea that the litigation lawyer, who picked this class action lawsuit up, is in cohorts with Apple. Get 30 million dollars to end a lawsuit that should have cost Apple tens of billions.

'Apple found guilty...' how was that hard.

denying "wrong doing" does not mean "denying eaves-dropping".

              Hilarious, to say the least.

"Look, there was no wrongdoing on our part, that much we will deny, but here's some cash under the rug because there WAS actually some wrongdoing so we don't want you to delve into the topic no longer!!"

Typical American affair... You have to be really foolish to believe that companies such as apple and google would not "listen" via your phone. Most people know it, even if these companies strongly denies it all the time. It's a part of their core business (google even more than apple) as big data is knowledge and knowledge is power. A class action lawsuit is nothing more than a way to earn a quick win for those who filed it but it will never change, even if they win. And these two are not alone at doing such practices. Many more want to know what you say and/or think as this data can earn them a shitload of money in different ways. Many companies are all too eager to buy such data so that they can adjust their offerings accordingly. Stop playing the victim and start making sure that those companies respect the right to privacy to the full extend or just change the laws in a way that the so called privacy rules are regulated and/or limited (as there is a lot of abuse on it as well such as criminality that hides behind privacy...).

And tbh, it's just a pr stunt. Because Apple isn't losing anything and definitely not paying any meal for the victims.
